Having just beaten Sunderland on the final day of the 2011/12 season, Manchester United had to wait for the results from the Etihad to discover if they would be crowned champions or not. 2 injury time goals for City from Edin Dzeko & Sergio Aguero took the title away from United.

The shock on the United fans faces when the Sunderland fans start cheering
  • You can't blame Sunderland fans. Any one who isn't a United fan would react the same on such wonder of football.

This was one of a kind moment. Imagine winning the game but leave heartbroken and the team you beat is happy and cheering.
  • Sunderland fans celebrated so much that they never made it back to the Premier league

There are a generation of kids now who have never seen Man U as an elite trophy winning club
  • Whenever I'm having a bad day I watch this video to cheer me up. The moment the singing United fans hear the Sunderland cheers for City scoring is a moment to cherish.

I was recovering from a stroke that restricted my mobility and when City scored I did about 10 laps of my living room while cheering my head off at a speed that Bolt would have envied. I’ll never forget that day. Thank you Sergio, you helped my recovery.

Feel so sorry for poor Ryan Giggs. Such a sweet, empathic, nice man who respects women and his family.

This is so lovely to see when you are feeling sad. It makes you feel better
  • As a City fan, Aguero will always be a hero to us, wow what a moment for the club this was
  • Can’t even imagine how it felt to be in the United dressing room after this game.
  • In his book, Ferguson has written, "I told my players to keep their head up high. There was nothing to be ashamed of. Would you believe it.. losing the Premier League on goal difference to your nearest neighbors." Edit: 6 months in and woooshhh !!! I didn't expect so many likes guys.

And now we’ve done it again, same winning style, only this time Liverpool thought they was finna get it. 2022, we still here.

Who’s here on final day of MAN City’s and Liverpool’s fight for the league title?!
  • The reason Sunderland done it was because they celebrated us getting relegated a few years before this.

I was in a pub being mocked by United fans. I didn’t retaliate, I had a feeling that something was going to happen at city that day. The United fans went home angry, I went home with my head held high and still amazed at what I had just witnessed.I will never forget it
