Andrew, for what must be 15 years now I have watched a young gifted artist develop into an artist of international acclaim with few, if any hangups about tackling any subject for a motivational image. From memory, I recall some astounding early pencil drawings from WA to this Still Life of today. A young man transformed into a seasoned professional. I am about to have my first exhibition as an old man and many of the works, you have inspired. As a teacher (be it online) you got me through many hours at the easel and I can assume with confidence, many others. Never stop explaining how and why, the inexperienced can grow from tutelage.

I love your videos of still lifes, it made me realize that we don't have to try to paint anything super fancy, even toys and sea shells! Really opened up my perspective!

I’m very curious to know what it’s like to have a skill like this. To know going in that you can actually paint what you lay out, and with incredible precision. It must feel so good, to know all your time and effort has paid off. Such a pleasure watching you paint Andrew. Thank you for all this great content.

Excellent work Andrew. Really enjoyed watching this video. Always inspiring before going into my studio for the day. Really liked the mix of textural strokes overlaid with delicate detail and glazes.

Literally every time I watch one of your videos I think well THIS is my favourite subject that I want to try and specialise in! It's landscapes! No, sketch endeavour! No no, OMG, still lives! I even start warming up to portraits that I am actually not particularly keen of. Thank you for igniting my love for painting again and even more than it ever has been ever in my life! :)
-
Andrew, you never cease to amaze me. Thank you for sharing.

It is gorgeous! I would be interested in seeing videos of how you glaze, from mediums to how you apply and do you remove till glazes till you get the color you want?
