We will test the strength of a non-Newtonian fluid with a hydraulic press

  • Actually it's a non Newtonian fluid, Newtonian is what is expected from normal fluids, is pressure and force gives way to movement, however non Newtonian is the opposite
  • - Do not try this at home. - Proceeds on giving ingredients of how to make non Newtonian fluid.
  • I loved it how the topic of the video just changed after crossing the 3 minute mark😂
  • Wow, this is so great, it crushes anything you put on it

What if there was a beach with Ooblek instead of sand, I’d love to try that (Don’t make it too deep though. It would be worse than quicksand but more fun)
  • I have the same model that turns everything you put into powder, very cool
  • Starch is a dilatent fluid , a type of Non Newtonian fluid ..rate of angular deformation / velocity gradient of Non Newtonian fluids is not directly proportional to the shear force . It's a shear thickening fluid Means if you put more shear force it will not deforme but if you put less force then it will deform easily..more examples of Dilatent fluid is Corn flower , Quick sand , Sugar syrup , etc ..

it squoze the water out of the oobleck 😆
  • @TubeTAG
Why is it that the press head or base never deform, despite seemingly stuff that ought to be harder than steel?
  • Place something that explodes in the non Newtonian fluid and press it.
