I married my wife Barbara in 1969, mainly because she looked like Joan Baez and I looked like Bob Dylan (and played songs from both of them, and I still do: those two, plus Leonard, have been the sound-track of our lives). The first gift Barbara ever got me was a pair of cuff-links. We saw Joan live at the Cambridge Folk Festival in 1982, and we saw her at the Fare Thee Well concert in London in 2019, and a couple more in between. Every time Joan sings "Diamonds and Rust", she updates the years in line with our marriage, so in 2019 it was "Fifty years ago I bought you some cuff-links". We felt it was just for us.

The best singer of all times for me. I saw her last concert in Lisbon Portugal just before Covid: it was a great moment. Thank you lady

I am 84 and she has rhe power to take me right back to my youth. All the tumult of the 60's when the world looked so hooeful and promising.

Had a lucky life: in 62-63 served in the USAF at Mather AFB, Sacramento Ca and got many open-weekends to go to all the SFO concerts and Purple Onion shows I could. Joan Baez was a high note for all those occasions and still is. That you Joan Baez for filling our lives with your wonderful being and voice.

And here Joan Baez stays forever young.

She will never be forgotten, due to the fact that she is a real star and a true humanist, a non-pretentious person as every human being should be. Long live Joan Baez, respectable person…❤
