  • I am obsessed w/ basil. I have basil plants on my nightstand because I just love the way they smell. It's really good for watermelon juice infusions. Lately, I've been adding fresh basil to my salads. It's simply divine.

    I chop Basil leaves and Olive oil very fine, put that in ice cube trays and freeze. Store the cubes in container and use cubes for whatever you need Basil.
  • Bruschetta /brusketa/ is made from grilled bread, on which you scratch a clove of garlic (the toasted bread acts as a grater). On top of that, you add olive oil and (often but not always) tomatos, mozzarella and basil. Fresh.

    #6 - Add chopped basil to tuna fish sandwiches. I mix it in when adding the mayonnaise. Delicious!

    I used it in tinola, a filipino dish. Instead of using malunggay leaves.or sili leaves, i used basil leaves. It taste good. Hehe
