  • Thanks for discussing the possible interference with an airbag deployment. The general public is not knowledgeable about the design, packaging and deployment of side curtain airbags. As a retired airbag design engineer, I would hate to see a carefully designed, tested and validated supplemental restraint product not work properly because a car owner unintentionally degraded the deployment path or timing. Or injure themself in the process of making a modification.

Your videos are by far the best hardwire install guides on YT. No wasted time, everything explained clearly and concisely, and different possibilities and options are discussed. Thank you!
  • @jublywubly
This is a brilliant tutorial! Your instructions are very concise and easy to follow. You also answered the questions I was thinking with regards to the curtain air bag. I may end up doing the same installation process, when I buy a dashcam, for my Camry. I already have a set of the trim removal tools. They're worth every cent. (Not that they cost much anyway.) Thank you for making this video. :-)
  • @cmlegend88
Love how calm you are when explaining...good job!
  • @Alan-zw2xv
This is by far the best explained instruction video. Explains the importance of putting fuse tap in the right way. Have seen other videos where they put one tap one way and the other in opposite directions, making one of the connections direct live and bypassing the fuse. Thanks
  • This is one of the most thorough tutorials I've seen on YouTube, airbag and also the direction of the fuse. Also, I approve of the very chingon bigote😎
  • Thank you. This makes me happy to see someone (like myself) that pays attention to all the details like airbag, fuse-tap power orientation and which fuses are "best"... so many misleading videos on YT - make me shake my head.
  • @cachondorider
Why isn't this on the first of the list of videos to watch? You explained well and demonstrate excellent. 👏🏽
  • All I can say here, is that you do a darn good job on these videos! I first watched because I bought a Rove R3 Dash Camera and a hard-wiring kit, and wanted to know how best to install it. Your videos were a big help! Unlike another video I watched, you DID mention the power polarity when re-inserting the fuses. If polarity isn't observed, the dash cam may work but the circuit you plugged into may not! Lol. Thanks again.
  • @emilaubry6856
Thank you for mentioning to be careful to place the wire BEHIND the airbag!
  • @patrickmaloy5262
Clear and concise! i feel empowered in taking on the task of installing the much needed camera.
  • @johnstewart5621
Alex, great video! Very informative, step by step, simple explanation / instructions, nothing missed (as far as I can tell)! Great job. Thank you!
  • Your mustache is on point😂 now regarding the video, this has been the best and most instructive and informational video I’ve seen. I never knew, nor took into consideration possible interference of the airbag. You have given me much to think about. I will watch your other video to see other ways to wire the dash cam thank you.
  • @Silky_boi
Thanks for a great video! I was hesitant on doing this myself however after watching a few of your videos it turned out to be far easier than I expected. Thank you.
  • @pasha.k
Seriously, great detail and explanation on everything precautions. What an awesome video! Keep up the great work! Alex!
  • @davidmckinlay555
Thanks very much for the great video and explanation, the best I’ve seen yet! I bought my dash cam in June and it’s still in the wrapper and box as I’ve been very reluctant to go into the fusebox. Your video made it appear “simple”. Still reluctant but will give it a go! Absolutely brilliant!!!
  • @vaindioux
I stopped at the side airbag issue. Never thought of this. Looking now at bottom wiring. Thxs for the video 👍🏻
  • @ernies4627
Great job of explaining and demonstrating. Best I have yet seen.
  • @filox8
Thanks for your video. It’s perfectly explained, keep it up man great job! 👍
