Maybe our fascination with these comes from hours of staring at the DVD symbol bouncing around the screen

Literally today I was going through your channel and said to myself "I wish this guy made long form content" well let's go!

I can't be the only one who thinks it's really satisfying to see the ball roll.

Seeing the ball miss the last two pieces of snow in the beginning kills me
  • @NinjaPheonix26
Suggestion: Try to show info about the calculations of the ball bouncing and stuff in real time. That would be interesting

    1. The ball erases the whole white circle and speeds up over time. 2. The border shrinks, the trail gets longer, and the ball grows slightly every bounce. 3. The camera follows the ball and it gets bigger every bounce. 4. The border shrinks and the ball gets smaller and faster every bounce. 5. The border is a square that shrinks and tilts every bounce. 6. The side or the border the square hits gets closer to the center every bounce.

It’s… perfect. (Obligatory “Idea” - Give the ball normal physics, but when the ball comes to a stop or near standstill at the bottom, another ball is added and the circle gets smaller.)

Id love If you could make longer videos so I could fall asleep to them.❤
  • @broderickschmidt
I definitely think added the description like in the shorts would help so much. At least for me.

your creations are so beautiful. i would love to see a little bit of the process
  • @grif5307
Tbh, I would love a video showing how you make this!
  • When I see the ball roll across the circle it’s like super satisfying I love it😊
  • You can add more balls and map them to a palette of different sound samples. For example, a drum-ball or something. These can be either in one or in different areas to let them collide with each other interfering each others beat
  • Idea: every time a ball collides with another they combine into 4 smaller balls. Every time a ball hits the wall it gets bigger.
