Taylor knew she had to perform this song. So many people were calling her a "snake" after the Kanye incident and this proved that you can beat someone down all you want but when they rise back up, they'll rise back up stronger. Also her embracing the snake and made it her brand is chef's kiss.

She's a GREAT performer. Her presence on stage is faboulous, strong, confident. She knows it. She enjoys it.

I love how often she chooses to perform on award shows. Not many do but she does a lot of them. Hard to believe this is the same girl who once sang Tim McGraw. I love it.

I love what she did with the bridge here. This whole performance felt iconic. You guys notice how seldom they cut to the audience during the performance? Can't take eyes off her.

Taylor has been writing songs and performing since 14 years old. At 18, she won CMA's "Horizon Award" and almost cried on stage when she said it was the biggest event of her senior year. She's 33 years old now and has been performing for almost 20 years. She knows what she's doing and she knows how to make a show to remember. In the process, she's become an icon and a phenomenon.

When I’m having a rough day (like today), I love to come back and watch this performance. She killed it. One of her best live award show performances of hers, imo. The dancers, back up singers, choreography, special effects, Karyn, etc. Not just that, but her vocals are AMAZZING! I love the moments she breaks character a bit like at 2:59. You can see that she’s having fun and the characters she is playing (playing very well, might I add) isn’t fully her and it shouldn’t be taken so literal. My fellow Swifties will know what I’m trying to say.
