Lufthansa flight 442 heavy, Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner service from Frankfurt am Main Int'l Airport (EDDF/FRA) to Detroit Metro (KDTW/DTW). I practice my Deutsch and learn some things along the way. Recorded in Microsoft Flight Simulator on VATSIM.

As much as I miss the joyful anarchy of your old ATC videos (and I really do miss those), these slick professional flights are so satisfying :) Nice job man.

The "(Angry German)" was actually just the guy very friendly explaining what "hold short of" meant when approaching the gate. Such a beautiful language..! ;-) Liebe Grüße !

Guten Tag! We just updated the Charts In-Game Panel with some highly detailed airport diagrams, so you don't need to destroy any American infrastructure again!
  • Im convinced ATC could speak english perfectly fine and without accent, but adds it for authenticity and immersion. Thats dedication.

2:03 when ATC says "correct" and you get a little smile from AFP95, "yay i got it right"
  • @WminusU
9:38 The cuts to the passengers always get me lol

I have always been astonished by the professionalism of the calls. Feels like ATC in game is a job on itself. And people do this for a hobby!!!
  • "Please let me use the restroom. I'm going to ** myself" "NEIN, remain seated" 🤣🤣🤣
  • Just thought I'd shout you out. You've made it. You're being referenced in NasaSpaceFlight streams, Forts gaming streams. I even ran into a guy at a local gas station that threw out a random "blog it, sauce boss" when he overheard someone complaining. We are proud of our TaintforceLoud69. Here's a like. Keep up the great content.

Great video! I’m a 777 pilot, for crossings from Europe need to request an oceanic clearance 90-60 min prior to oceanic entry fix. It comes in via CPDLC. Around the oceanic entry fix you’ll contact Gander radio just to request a SELCAL check so you don’t have to monitor HF on the crossing, and use CPDLC for primary means of communicating with controllers. “xxxx123 request SELCAL check , gander next, CPDLC” At 30 west you’ll do another SELCAL check with Gander or New York. Hope that helps. Not sure if you can get CPDLC in flight sim. A “TMI” is a track message indicator number to make sure everyone has the correct fixes for the track as they’re published every day. You’ll check the number against your paperwork.
  • REQUEST: Next time you do one of these "super serious, long ass long haul" flights, can you also go through the boring stuff of figuring out fuel and your Vspeeds? I know it's only a sim, but it's nice to see that every once in a while. Speaking of every once in a while, would also be nice to see an occasional screw around flight and/or ATC video, like you used to do.
  • I just wanted to say this because non German people don´t know this: By Frankfurt Main is not meant that this is the main airport of Frankfurt. The full German name of the city is "Frankfurt am Main" and is translated to Frankfurt on the Main (river). This is because in Brandenburg, at the Polish border, there is another Frankfurt called "Frankfurt an der Oder". It´ just not to confuse things.
  • This is crazy, I used to work for Lufthansa at DTW and when I heard LH442 my reaction was “???” there’s no way he’s doing FRA-DTW and sure enough, that’s exactly it haha, that’s crazy

3:22 B10 is actually position where you have to make a turn to park sideways, so it is correctly positioned

Just wanna say I really really love these VATSIM videos. A lot of the realistic flying content out there is full uninterrupted flights which can be fine sometimes but there's frankly a lot of dead air in most flights especially if it's not live. Nice, digestible, 10-20 minute cuts highlighting only the interesting and notable moments is a great style that I'm surprised has not been done by more people.
  • The Lufthansa logo, an encircled stylized crane in flight, was created in 1918 by Otto Firle. It was part of the livery of the first German airline, Deutsche Luft-Reederei (abbreviated DLR), which began air service on February 5, 1919. In 1926, Deutsche Luft Hansa adopted this symbol, and in 1954, Lufthansa expressed continuity by adopting it, too. ~ 16:56 "...time will tell..."Rufus: "Time HAS told."
  • Awesome, flew into my hometown of Detroit! LH442 was very recently assigned the 787, so it's great to see someone recreate the flight in its current state so soon! Also, I believe those two planes at Frankfurt which seemed to be parking "sideways" at their gates were actually parking correctly, as those specific gates are oriented so that aircraft can pull in and pull out on their own, i.e. no pushback required. It did look funny because of MSFS default scenery though.

The Atlantic crossing process was great to watch. It gave me big vibes of your videos as tower, except from the other side. The default SELCAL code was the perfect exchange. It's really cool to watch you do some different types of flights. I've binged all of your VATSIM videos many times. I'm sure they don't perform as well as your more meme-oriented content but I love it.
  • As a native german speaker, I approve of your german accent at around 17:40. Sounds a little bit more like a swiss accent, but that's ok... keep on! Beste Grüße!
