$10 vs. $10,000 Japanese Hotel | Cheapest to Most Expensive

The ten dollar hotel really did not seem bad at all for the price.

The cheap hotel was perfectly fine for it's price, it's clearly meant to be a place to stay for people in a pretty remote area and it's not focused on luxury but has everything you need to survive somewhat comfortably

That $10 hotel is still nicer than a few hotels I have stayed at before. I’d happily sleep there for $10. I’ve paid over $100 for a night at a hotel that smelled of mold and mildew, my sinuses were trying to kill me. And there may have been some unsavory deals going on a few doors down. Talk about fake reviews.

The first hotel is basically a hostel. It wasn't that bad.

Honestly, spending $10 for a functioning bed, in a semi-reasonable room, that happens to have a TV, a closet, AND internet!? They stock manga too!? Realistically, I'd feel like I was robbing the owner at that price. I've tried sleeping in a moving truck while traveling long ass distances, and during those times, I'd GLADLY pay 5 times that price for the same room. Sometimes you just need a place to rest at.

I've stayed in far worse places than the cheap place and sometimes paid more for it. I was a student and broke and happy these places exist because they helped me travel and see the world on a low budget.

The hotel for 10 bucks wasnt that bad honestly. There was not rats, bed bugs, mice, or roaches. There was even wifi. A decent place to sleep is all one could ask for. Hopefully the expensive hotel lives up to its name. It does. It definitely does. I loved the onsen & the black kitchen 😭 the backyard was so nice. I love a big yard and a woodsy area. That hotel was luxury. Just insane. Also, having ur own chef? I'm jealous. Good chefs can just make good food. The only place I've been to relatively close was Japanese Village & the chef there made some good shrimp. I never eat shrimp because I don't like seafood but that was something else. Some people can just make food ur not used to eating taste really good. Takes a lot of skill. But yeah, I'm happy you guys got to experience that lovely dinner, the mountain, the hotel, the onsen, just awesome, and thank-you for sharing as well. I love the mountains 💓

The $10 hotel got high scores because honestly, for $10 a night that hotel looks pretty fantastic. Over here, the $10 hotels are by the hour and you definitely will come out of staying there feeling icky and needing a bath.

That's actually fucking amazing for $10. That's non-existent in America.

Not gonna lie, for $10 that was a pretty bangin' deal. I mean, what would one really expect for $10? You have a bed, a roof, and the place doesn't look infested with anything. That right there is worth the price to stay for 15-17 hours. Joey kept knocking the place, and I kept trying to figure out what the punchline was, because I'd stay in a hotel like that for $10 any day of the week.

"Let the man do his art."... Joey was so stunned he missed the perfect opportunity for a "let the man cook."

I feel like Joey was pretty unnecessarily harsh towards the cheap hotel. He didn't die and the room didn't even look that bad, compared to the moldy abomination that Connor tried staying in. I nominate this as "most privileged moment" award.

what did joey expect from a $10 hotel, most of the comments here are right it was pretty good for the price.

As a person who lives in SEA, that $10 place look really damn nice for the price
