Really nice, could this trolly brush cutter work in slope area? Good to have U shaped alignment, as to lift the mechine altogether.
  • Ça peut être intéressant en baissant la vitesse de rotation pour faire du carnage d'herbe

really, really like the look of this trimmer! alas, no response from Portek concerning my being able to get one in U.S.
  • I am at the end of my first season with my Rufcut strimmer and I am not best impressed. The unit has been designed to a price and is too flimsy to be used on rough ground where I live in Scotland. The frame tubing is too small and light. The paintwork was poor. The handle 'accelerator' unit is not as shown on this video and the half-speed button does not work. There is no information on how to connect the accelerator cable to the carburettor, which is tricky. The spatter guard catches on anything but the shortest grass and has to be slid up the shaft out of the way, rendering it ineffective. The wheels are not as shown and are made of plastic. The skew control mechanism is badly designed and jumps from it's centre position during use. The only way to stop this jumping is to tighten it up so tight that it can't be used. The engine drinks petrol like no other and is quite smokey even using Stihl Ultra two stroke oil. (the best on the market). I waited ages for the strimmer to arrive and the Portek after sales service is really poor. I telephoned and I emailed several times and only once did a man called Neil leave a message on my answerphone never to bother again. In short if you want to be disappointed with your purchase, buy this model. Otherwise, shop elsewhere! Addendum Today 20th October my wife used the strimmer for three hours to strim out some grass pathways that run around our property as our final maintenance task prior to winter. The machine failed suddenly and catastrophically. There are no sparks evident at the spark-plug so it now has to go into the menders for repair. Be warned. I would not recommend this strimmer to anyone.
