The Mets jumped out to 5-0 lead thanks to home runs from Tyrone Taylor, Mark Vientos and Francisco Lindor but the Nationals stormed back with seven straight runs and stunned the Mets 7-5. Christian Scott, making his return to majors and the Mets bullpen could not contain Washington's Luis Garcia Jr. who launched a pair of homers and drove in four runs as New York coughed up a five run lead for the second time in a week.

    I like Mendozq but he plays the analytical game too much with the bp sometimes. Otto looked just fine. Going to diekman was what did the mets in. i really hope they get some bp help asap. Deikman and garrett are nothing but liabilities atp and need to go. They walk into the game giving up a run. Need senga back and poss move megill to the bp bc hes not a starter.

    This bullpen is worthless. We know what's about to happen, and it does happen more times than not. Bring up some AAA guys and give them a shot at relieving. Seriously, how could it be worse????? DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!

    Mendoza's decision on pitchers is awful. We couldve had Dedniel Nunez in this one instead of putting him in the end of last one up by 4 where Butto couldve easily pitched one more.

    Not sustainable at all. We can be thrilled all we want about our bats and getting to the wild card but the excitement around it will have no merit because we do not have the arms. We can fight and battle but its an easy L in the post season unless we find some consistency in the bullpen

    Mets would be much better without Alonso and his boyfriend Mendoza. Lose those two losers maybe they squeak out a wild card. No more than that
