  • Thank you for making this video! I followed your instructions step by step and was able to replace my sensor in less than 2 hours and now have an accurate oil pressure reading. You saved me hundreds of dollars doing myself and several hours compared to removing the entire intake plenum. It wasn't easy because there is so little room to work back there but with perseverance, I got it done. Thanks again!
  • I have a 2012 Colorado 5.3L V8 (bit of a unicorn) & searched high & low just to find out the location of my Oil Pressure Switch. Even Storer & Haynes was of no help. Thank you so much! I was on the brink of giving up & taking it to a shop. From now on I'll remember that 5.3L Tahoes have a lot in common with mine.

This is one of the better car repair videos I have seen. Including all the little details that would confound the first timer, like how those plugs work. Keep up the good work.
  • Nicely done! Clear instructions, and great camera work. Far enough away for the overview, but close enough for detail. Highly underrated quality for instructional videos.
  • @Mogunsforme
So in my effort to find someone to repair this thing i was quoted at over 550. This repair litterally takes 5 minutes to do. Thanks Eric, very based and informative.

Really appreciate this video. Really struggled until your tip about the vacuum lines. After that, getting the right combination of wobble sockets and extensions was the tough part for me.
  • @360MEDIALABZ
Best video I’ve seen on this repair. Very comprehensive and well illustrated.
  • @DELLISTX
ONE of the BEST Videos on replacing the OIL SENSOR.
  • @kevinternes3188
YOU DID EXCELLENT SHOWING HOW TO UNLOCK AND REMOVE CONNECTION BY USING THE SWITCH WE COULD ACTUALLY SEE WELL. 😊
  • Thank you. I watched another video and they removed the intake manifold and I was so relieved to see how you did it. It only took me 30 minutes and it went EXACTLY as you showed. The only glitch was when I started the truck, the oil pressure still read zero, but 15 seconds later it read correctly. Great job, saved me hundreds $$$.
  • @JK-mh3ld
Ordered the socket today using your link. Thanks for the walk-through on this repair!
  • @tylerbishop8844
This is the best and most detailed video I have watched about the removal of this part. Thank you!
  • @norris81b
Thanks for making this video. It was clear and concise. Showing how to remove the clips was a huge help, especially since it was very hard to see some of them. I followed the video to a tee and finished in about an hour and a half with no real issues except I lost the white clip off the electrical connector. It flew off while I was trying to pull it up. I stole the one from the mass airflow sensor (thanks for showing that they are the same) so I could put everything back together. Just need to get a replacement clip for the mass airflow sensor now and I'll be done. Thanks again.

  • @coreyfambro751
Thanks this video was one of the best I came across as for as put in the oil sensor. I was so glad I didn't have to take off the whole intake. Thanks again very informative.
  • @davidwedel2115
Super helpful Eric. I was able to put in a new oil pressure sensor and filter following your video. Saved me tons of money. Thank you!
  • Thank you for making this video and clearly explaining the process and tools needed to perform the task! Very helpful! Take care!
  • Definitely could not have done this without your video. Thank you. I went one step further and bought a little WiFi camera to watch what I was doing back there on an iPad. Thanks again.
  • @mickd1368
i pulled up a few of these videos and yours was by far the best. good job and thanks.
  • @loc6880
Most thorough video on this type of replacement I have seen yet. The removal of the lines, and the detail for the clips being removed (especially the sensor clip). Most videos lack the clips, and the way they are secured/removed. The gloves had me worried, but you know what you are doing. Save the latex next time..lol....Cheers
