"Dad's on a hunting trip and he hasn't been home in a few days"
  • If you like supernatural and you like Dean's taste in music, then you have perfect taste.
  • TW: Suicide The show Supernatural has truly saved my life. I started watching Supernatural last year a couple days before my bday and it completely chnaged everything. I have really bad PTSD, depression, and suicidal thoughts and right before i started watching the show, all i wanted to do was to end my life. Then my amazing mom showed me the show, i am forever grateful that she did introduce the show to me. I don't think i would still be alive if it wasn't for Supernatural. I always think of Jared's campaign he started which was "Always Keep Fighting." I have that quote hanged up in my room for me to look at every day. I have been doing a lot better with therapy and the show. To anyone who reads this, you are beautiful and i don't have to even see you to know that.
  • The Winchesters kept this song well past its prime so a younger generation could appreciate it!!
  • My Dad and I blasted this song back in the 70s,80s and 90s. I never realized how much it would mean to me after my Dad passed....

It doesn't matter how you came to love this song. What matters is that we all love it.

I was a wayward son in the 70's. I ran with other wayward boys and girls. That is just what we did.

This was a classic the moment it was done being recorded. Nothing could stop this powerhouse.

  • My dad passed away yesterday and now I'm making a playlist with all the songs he loved and I remember him by. This is one of them. Thank you dad for showing me the greatest artists of all times. Loved, missed and never forgotten 🀘πŸ”₯β€πŸ™

Carry on my wayward son For there'll be peace when you are done Lay your weary head to rest Don't you cry no more Once I rose above the noise and confusion Just to get a glimpse beyond the illusion I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man Though my mind could think I still was a mad man I hear the voices when I'm dreamin', I can hear them say Carry on my wayward son For there'll be peace when you are done Lay your weary head to rest Don't you cry no more Masquerading as a man with a reason My charade is the event of the season And if I claim to be a wise man, it surely means that I don't know On a stormy sea of moving emotion Tossed about I'm like a ship on the ocean I set a course for winds of fortune, but I hear the voices say Carry on my wayward son For there'll be peace when you are done Lay your weary head to rest Don't you cry no more Carry on, you will always remember Carry on, nothing equals the splendor Now your life's no longer empty Surely heaven waits for you Carry on my wayward son For there'll be peace when you are done Lay your weary head to rest Don't you cry no more

Sam and Dean Winchester introduced me to this song. I'm glad they did. "Supernatural" season finale song. Also, the song I sang to my lil baby nephew when it was time for his nap. 😊

Everyone talks about that Supernatural brought them here but what brought me here is that this is a damn good song
  • My dad always would blast this song out the windows of his β€˜66 Mustang whenever we’d take it for a spin. Good times....
  • My mother, may she rest in peace, sang this song to me as a lullaby in the 90s. Rock on Mom <3
