As a American-Chinese guy, watching Su grind so hard and overcome his body's limitations through sheer effort is such an inspiration. While others have the talent of a blessed body, he has a blessed mentality.
  • There is one more Asian sprinter who ran 9.96 last year. He is Yupun abeykoon from Sri Lanka who has won the bronze in the commonwealth games.
  • 92 views after 3 hours? That’s just not fair! These vids are insanely good!

Great Video! I'm hoping Su will perform well in the Paris Olympics, really want him to get a metal

I genuinely don't know how you only have 3k subs these vids are really good and in a way remind me of the youtube Company Man. Keep it up bro!

Thank you so much for posting this! What's shocking is there is still a prevalent view that Asians are inferior sprinters in conversations I'm seeing online - the data and trajectory definitely indicates otherwise! Asians are not a monolith, there is massive genetic diversity. I went to school in Australia and some of the fastest people were of Asian background, some of the least sport inclined were also Asian - a very diverse mix of people! As someone whos of Asian background, I always had a feeling we would see more elite Asian sprinters and more elite asian soccer/football players. We are starting to see both. I really hope more Asian kids see this and shoot for the stars. Too many of us are fixated on taking the safe, academic focused route in life. Myself included.

Love your videos!! hope you could you do one on pole vaulters haha not enough content out there about pole vault lol
  • Great video seeing an Asian sprinter doing the impossible 60m split was something I did not expect but I notice su’s main goal is to be the only Asian in the final he did not plan for getting a medal he wanted sportsman ship and being the Asian sprinter to reach the final. which we all know his semi is his final which I wish the semi final gets more well known with the fastest 60m split ever

I know this video is a bit old now but could I ask what music you use that starts at 00:10? I've heard it in speedrunning videos and such but I don't know what it is. Thanks!
  • I've really been thinking about this too. I always wondered. What if someone with a similar start like Su had the 200m speed endurance of Xie existed? I truly believe someone from Asia will run a 9.6 in our lifetime.

Puripol Boonsoon is ridiculous. he's faster than Usain bolt was at that age
  • My theory is Asian people are getting proper nutrients decades ago and the effects are showing now.

everyone works hard & everyone has talent at that level. his mind is not stronger then anyone faster. as that takes away from them.
