Thank you for leaving the natural edge. Rustic, classic, and highly functional. I can't get over the beauty of the grain. Almost reptilian in areas! Honestly love this piece. 😊
-
That's the prettiest cow dung I ever did see. I love how you can see the beauty in the most beastly knot of wood. Well done, again.
-
When you first "introduced" Robinia, I thought "this will be interesting" and it was. Well Done, Sir.
-
I think this may be one of the most beautiful ones I’ve ever seen you make! I love the way that it changes from the bottom to the top and has the rough edge almost like a decorative ribbon around the top.
-
That burl had a diamond inside - absolutely stunning bowl this one turned out to be 😃
-
The thick bark on this piece is amazing! The fact that the solid part of the wood glows but the bark does not is so interesting, particularly as it shows that inclusion in the middle that I couldn't see under regular light. Great job, as always.
-
I love the naturalness that came out of this bowl. Never judge a book by its cover.😊❤
-
Another stunning work of art. Your ability to identify and bring out the beauty in an unassuming chunk of wood is worthy of praise.
-
So many different grain angles in 1 piece of wood. Beautiful project.
-
Oh my, what a spectacular bowl, Mike. An absolute pleasure to watch you transform the blank into a thing of beauty. Thank you. Have an amzing holiday away. You deserve it, and thank you for making sure we don't suffer withdrawal symptoms by having a video to share 😂 Take care 🤗
-
Once again you have pulled the beauty of the wood out of itself, brilliant work.
-
Oh wow. What beautiful wood was hiding beneath that lumpy bark. Which really looks great on the edge too. Lovely!
-
Oh my, you've outdone yourself on this one. Your wife is gonna keep this one, 😊
-
You are correct that piece of wood has everything. Very beautiful. Reminds me of an old world piece of art. Thanks for sharing!
-
I was doubtful about leaving a live edge on this one with how gnarly that blank looked, but it was totally the right call with this one. Gorgeous!
-
Compared to the previous work over the last few weeks, this one was relatively easy for you. When you cut a piece like you did you never really know what it's going to look like. The soft area in the end seemed to add to the finish, great work Mike. Enjoy your holiday, you deserve a break after the last few weeks.
-
It is so rare that you can keep the bark. Looks terrific!
-
What a tremendous outcome from a scraggly piece of wood. Do love when I get these pieces, much more interesting than a standard blank.
-
The overhead view of this beauty was like looking into a crystal ball. And your tee shirt is hilarious!
