To all the people coming out with is he legal in this country if he isn't then he shouldn't get the money well 1. He wouldn't have got the cheque if he wasn't legal 2. He paid for a ticket like everyone else. Its just typical that there is always a couple of people who have to bring race in to it, to me your just jealous that he was lucky and you wasn't, and I hope he enjoys the money and also beats cancer and lives a lovely life in peace and cancer free Amen.

Good for him. However, I truly believe that it would be much better if there were (100) one million dollar winners than just (1) one billion dollar winner. Better odds for everyone playing and, in the end, better for the economy at large.

I’ve been told that I’ve been dying for 35 years. Maybe, I should win the lottery. Get a better doctor. (Unfortunately, I am ‘uncurable’. But, I’ve stayed strong. I don’t know how much longer I will last.). I’m happy for this guy, I hope he can find a cure. ‘All the more luck!’ That’s what I say!

Hey, well good for him. I hope his luck continues and he beats the disease. Also, cool to hear that he honors the deal with his pal who chipped in $100. Half a $1.3 billion prize is still something like $300 - 400 million, I'm guessing, after taxes, so nothing to sneeze at.
