Those old Fords are so high in quality, easy to work on, same parts in most cases for years, long lasting, and just plain good. They can't be beat. Looks like you have a winner there. I prefer the six cylinder, had two of them and loved them both. Put way over 100k on each of them without a major repair on either.

Good job getting these classics running. ๐ I was skeptical the one with the sludge build up would run, but it pleasantly surprised me. Very cool. Thanks for sharing!

I just bought a 72 Ranger XLT the other day and itโs a long wheel base which Iโm not the biggest fan of but itโs starting to grow on meโฆ๐ Itโs a nice truck, I think itโs all original. Itโs got 2 small holes in the passenger floor pan and the front side of the bed is rusted out but other than that itโs just got a little surface rust. My buddy that went with me, told me about the tool box built into the bed like that. He said he had one like that. Iโve never seen one until just now. Thatโs pretty coolโฆ ๐

Glad someone is saving them, my brother has a 67, F250 & a 71 F100!

I love the 1972 Red Custom because it has Ford' venerable inline 6 cylinder motor. With today's gas prices it's nice to drive around a truck without a huge V8. I have to admit the air conditioning in the Green one is really kewl though.

We had a 71 Ford F100 Short Wide Bed. 3 ON the Tree 302 V8 Under Dash AC I drove to High School in the late 70's I called it Robin's egg blue ran great.

Great trucks. Would love to come across 1 of those, 3 even better.

Cool old trucks, and no need to be an expensive code scanner! Those trucks would laugh at an EMP as well

The first 2 trucks remind me of mine, which is a 68. Both probably have 360's in them, and your right, a simple carb rebuild, maybe flush the oil once or twice, especially in the second truck, some brake work and you got some ole patina style running trucks! they're so simple to wrench on too honestly, I changed my trucks motor in a few hours by myself with a forklift lol. I think you definitely helped their chances at being bought and not scrapped, since the first two run anyway. These trucks are getting pretty popular too, I've had many offers on mine, but not sure if I'd sell, unless the right offer came around!

Richard another great start on the first truck. Just a exhaust manifold leak and water pump. The green Ford without oil. Surprised only lifters knocking. No too shabby. The last one the 6 cylinder looks tougher. Thanks for sharing ๐ฏ๐
