  • Tylor now understands what Sulley said to him about Boo 😭😭😭😭😭

tylor finally understood how sulley felt that day he scared boo.....only this time tylor actually made DIRECT CONTACT with the child he scared and saw the fear in his eyes firsthand!

So heartbreaking and it really reminded me of the scene in Monsters Inc where Sully accidentally scared Boo, but this time it was intentional. Tylor really work Johnny’s advice really well and than it wasn’t worth it. Tylor probably understood what Sully meant.
  • Monsters, Inc.: Sully accidentally scared Boo. Monsters at Work: Tylor was forced to scare Ben.
  • What makes this work is that like Monster's Inc, it humanises the monsters that are depicted as childhood fear of the closet opening as said monster coming out, only this time more darker. Tyler scared a kid, he finally did what he wanted to do, but the moment that kid started crying, like Sully he realised how awful would it be to be in the kid's situation, what makes it worse for Tyler is that while Sully scared Boo unintentionally, Tyler scared Ben un purpose. Sheesh, good luck having that on your conscience

What made this more heartbreaking was, unlike with Boo, he did it on purpose. Not friendly fire.
  • The part where Tylor scared Ben was really heartbreaking, not only cause it was a flashback to Sully scaring Boo, but because Tylor had a panic attack too. I can tell by reality distortion in his eyes and shortness of breath. First it was Chase in the Paw Patrol movie, then Puss in The Last Wish, then Hunter and Willow in the Owl House, Floor in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Moon Girl, and now THIS. Man, anxiety attacks are just going around movies and shows these days. Anyways…that moment stung me. He sure learnt about what Sully meant by changing from scaring to laughter.

A heartbreaking 💔 callback to how Sulley scared Boo in Monsters, Inc. Tylor went through a lot this season like being stressed with his family struggling, he lost his friends at Monsters Inc for a bit due to a huge misunderstanding, and was unaware that he was blackmailed by Johnny and Fear Co. to scare kids again as well and was framed by Randall Boggs as well.
  • When his panic attack starts he’s probably thinking about all those other kids he scared. Must have hit him like a freight train.

History has just repeated itself in the worst possible way. Tylor is now exactly experiencing firsthand the guilt, the shame and the grief Sulley went through that doomed day where he accidentally scared someone he grew fond of.

Gosh this made me so emotional 😭 Realism hit when Tylor saw in Ben's eyes the 'Fear' Sulley explained to him about. Seeing it face value on the boy's face must've struck a chord with Tylor, questioning why he desired to be a scarer. This also harpens back to Dean Hardscrabble's lecture to Sulley about Roar's making kids cry.

1:49 This is a parallel to Sulley scaring Boo. He didn’t like what he saw afterward.

Man, after seeing Ben, I was terrified myself, hoping Tylor wouldn't do the unthinkable before he had scared him I literally almost cried myself, and when Tylor was feeling sick in his soul I felt it myself. It was like I wanted to throw up, and I sensed all that doubt he felt no one should ever feel the shame of making a child fear you
  • @TheGoldNinja101
I had this thought that kept me awake all night a few days ago. It's all about that Tylor's reputation as a jokester is severely ruined.

I felt bad for both Tylor and Ben here. Tylor was so stressed, being crushed by pressure and lost on where his life was going since his family was struggling and he lost his friends at Monsters Inc and so he just wanted to yell at the world. Ben was the unfortunate victim hit in the crossfire as he didn't understand why Tylor was hurting/scaring him, trust being broken between them.
  • OH MY GOD!!!!! This has to be one of the best and terrifying moments in Monsters at work. I feel bad for both Tylor and Ben. Ben was traumatized by Tylor and at the same time, Tylor was traumatized by what he did to his friend. Please do the scene where Tylor apologized to Ben and he and Val show Monstropolis laugh power.
  • They always made scaring look easy. Get in, roar, get out. To the scarer that’s just work, but to the child, that’s an ugly nightmare they will never be able to let go of. You want to do your job, or do you want to be something ugly?
