I am going back to night classes, and I am 53 years old. I had to leave school at the 5th grade, and tonight the reading and writing class, I had tonight has assignments, where do we use commas, and I had a problem figuring out where to put commas. When i saw your video I learned more from you, then I did in the 6 weeks I had my classes. I got them all right, because you explained it very well where I can understand what goes where. I’m an ex-English teacher, and I love watching your programs. I got mixed up on the use of the comma with quotation marks. I read a lot of British novels and non-fiction, and I’m used to seeing the British rule apply. I had begun to write following the British rule for quotations!! Also, thanks for explaining the Oxford comma. I use it, as I believe it often clarifies items in sentences. Thanks for your great work!

I did learn a couple of things. My high school English teacher told us that she was not happy that they had made her teach. She had been the librarian. She wasn’t in it if you understand what I mean.
