2009 Subaru Tribeca Lowbeam Bulb Replacement

Published 2019-02-17
In this video we take a look at how easy it is to replace the bulbs on the Tribeca. The low beams on ours seem to go out often. Although not east to get to, it really only takes a about 10 to 15 minutes. Remember to never touch the glass of a halogen bulb or it will shorten its life dramatically. Hope it helps and thanks for watching! See below for links to examples of H7 bulbs for the low beams.

Great video! I watched several videos before changing the driver’s side bulb on my 08 Tribeca and this one clearly showed the entire process and helped make the job go quickly. Thanks!
  • @aaronazen4367
Thanks for the clear and concise video, judt got in from the drifeway. Saved me a good bit of money!
  • Your video was very helpful and out of all the videos I watched on the same subject, this one was by far the best. Thanks

This is a great instructional video. The images are clear and understandable. The process is clear and much simpler than the 2013 Tribeca shop manual procedure. It has saved me tons of money on bulb replacement compared to the "shop" pricing. The dealer charged me over $300 to replace a low-beam bulb on my 2013 Tribeca the first time it was needed. I'm about to do this myself for a 3rd time, thus my savings so far is over $1,000. Good H7 bulbs are less than $20 at Walmart. I keep the link to this video in my bookmarks.

Terrific job with the video. Thank you for taking the time to do that. I was sorry to see that Subaru uses those darn spring clips. I had a Mazda with those & they drove me nuts. Hopefully my car goes as smoothly as yours seemed to.

Thanks for the video! Same process for the 2011 Tribeca. I've replaced the stock bulbs by the Aukee H7 LED, they are very bright and easy to install with the help of this video. Thanks again!

Thanks for posting this...I just replaced this bulb and this video made it super easy.
  • @vita1078
Thank you for explaining the process so clearly! Struggled before I found your video but, once I did, it took me hardly any time at all :)
  • @etniesk8a02
Thank you so much for making this video - didn't know how I was going to be able to change my 2009 Tribeca's headlights until I saw this!
  • I watched this after the fact. Hardest vehicle I've changed bulbs on. I was able to do it without moving the battery but after watching your video it would've made it a lot easier.
  • @petealonso2535
Great 👍 explanation on bulb replacement. I bought a used 2006 Tribeca B9 ( I had never owned a Subaru before) and I’m learning as I go .
  • @shmily08
Thank you. Great video. Helped me a lot!!!
  • @juliegorham
