Intentionally bricking your game for a specific subset of PC hardware for potential monetary gain is the most Sony thing Sony can do. They're so blindsided by money that they fail to understand PC culture and how stubborn we all are when it comes to these anti-consumer moves. There's a reason the Epic Games Store is such a massive failure, and why no one uses any other services but Steam and GoG.

Man, it’s crazy… Valve is doing their best to make the best compatibility layer for Linux, and these game companies are making it hard to be accessible. It’s just so easy to know what they should not do.

I used to be a die hard Playstation fanboy owning all of Sony's hardware from PS1 - PS4 and all the handhelds. I didn't get a PS5 because I couldn't find one at MSRP. By the time I could find one I couldn't think of a game I needed to play that required me to buy a PS5. Yes, Sony has games I want to play, but the amount of games we have access to these days is ridiculous. With this plentiful bounty of games at my finger tips I just play something else.

The only games from SOYNY I would care would be the Gravity Rush games, but we'll get a working PS4 emulator before that happens.

I still want games from Sony. Bloodborne, Demon's Souls, Spiderman 2, Wolverine, Venom, next God of War, Last of Us Part 2, Ghost of Tsushima 2, Uncharted 1-3, The Last Guardian, anything else Team Ico, Ratchet and Clank Remaster, Gran Turismo, Gravity Rush 1 & 2, Sly, Infamous, Killzone to mention a few. I live in hope Sony and Valve find a way to get Proton compatibility.

It's insane to me that they keep and keep releasing handhelds and people keep hyping them, buying them, returning them and eventually going back to the steam deck. All these brands are selling is hype, not a decent product

For the Ally X, keep in mind the 2 most cons: 1. poor vendor Hardware support 2. 800$/€

The only way I could see Sony toppling over the steam deck meta would be if they adopted Valve's entire business model. Free online multiplayer, secure storefronts, having reviews be right in the center of their game, taking risks with features like remote play and things like that...the playstation portal doesn't even beat the psp

I love my Steam Deck OLED. It's a handheld Linux gaming PC with features that make it very easy for newbies to work with.
