THIS STORY:

We circle back to search for the "Jonathan House", where the apparition was seen of the boy killed by his bedroom window by lightning strike, in the late 1970's.
Found!
Then off to Long Grove Cemetery in Long Grove, Illinois.
Finally, we go to Rosehill cemetery in Chicago to see Willie Barry Culver, a boy who was lost in a steamship shipwreck, then. to the grave of Mary Shedden, poisoned by her husband, and then finally to the Rosehill mausoleum to view the Richard Warren Sears family crypt, where the developments start getting "hot".

The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...

This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.

Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

Some years ago on one of my walks I unknowingly strayed on to some private land. After some time I heard some noise on the edge of the copse and saw an elderly lady with some garden shears , I called hello and walked over to her. She was cutting the undergrowth off of some headstones on a large plot of land, I asked if I could help and spent some time clearing the area and she told me it was a family plot but her family had just left her to it. She showed me her house ( not a mansion ) and her family history. I asked jokingly if it was haunted and said the only thing that I would find frightening would be the Vultures at her home when she died. She is long gone now but I still go back once a year to clean up, but the owners of the house said that they were unaware of the plot. Strange how people never know what they are buying.
  • Hey Ron, when I was a teenager (years ago) I used to say, “I don’t have to outrun whatever is chasing us...I just have to outrun one of my friends!! “ 😂😂

Love this video. Reminds me of my younger days traveling the back roads, listening to 70s music and investigating cemeteries and old houses. Great job!

I would have been scared shitless if I'd come across that big bald dude in that darkened hallway. Ron, this was a great story and I so enjoyed it. Great show, you're really slipping into the role of a Rod Serling or somebody, you're our guide to never-neverland. Really interesting stuff.

Stories like this are why we Boy Moms get grey hair early! Great story though!
  • I was right there with you when you went in that house, I could see the big bald guy, and the scramble down the stairs. When you can make people feel it, and see it, that makes you a good story teller. The history in the cemeteries always fascinate me, and sadden me at the same time. Thanks Ron, greatly enjoyed.

I'm definitely going to watch the video next where you saw the apparition. I'm about your age, and I saw my first apparition when I was a young child. My parents just bought the house from a woman whose husband died there I think of cancer. I saw him in my room, he was in his suit he was buried in. He died rather young and left a very young daughter. I didn't know anything about it at that age. I was shown a picture of him later and it was the same man. Also, had dreams as a young child of people who I never knew died before I was born. And again, pictures showed it was the same people. Fast forward to now, I have seen and experienced apparitions in my house. There are at least two male and female. My husband who never believed before has also experienced it. I found the people who used to live here 50 years ago, their family. Turns out they've also had experiences. It's not scary, but there's definitely a couple of spirits who want attention lol.
