Travis Tritt may be the most underrated country singer ever. But close to the top in my book.

I’m 67 and I figured out a long time ago. There ain’t nothing out there for me, where corn don’t grow.

“You know this old world is full of singers, but just a few are chosen to tear your heart out when they sing...” Enter Travis Tritt!

This is the story of every young person. We all think we have it all figured out. And then we grow up and realize that wisdom comes with time.
  • Travis Kickin It ! One thing about Travis’ music people Today don’t realize is , THIS IS MUSIC PEOPLE CAN DANCE TO!! There is almost NO so called Country music put out today people can COUNTRY Dance to ! A twang , fiddle or pedal steel DON’T make it Country! But then , producers today don’t care if it’s country, all they see are dollar signs! Thanks Travis !

Back in my teen years I believed I was missing out on life from living in this farming community. Almost 50 years later Travis was right. The weeds are high where corn don't grow. I am back living in my parent's home as they have passed. It gets dark here at night where all the sky stars are easily seen. Mowing weeds is a walk in a country two-track compared to city life. Why it took me so long to see this is a mystery to me. I changed my mind. I now live across the road to a huge corn field.
  • Was born and raised in the Appalachian mountains of East Tn. Could not WAIT to get out of these mountains. Joined the Navy, spent 20 + years running around the world. I finally realized I was home sick for those same mountains. When I got out of the Navy, I couldn’t get back into those mountains far enough. Live and learn.

this song can be for city and country folks. when I was 7/8 I told my dad I hate the city I want to live in the country. when I turned 17 I joined the army and never lived in a city again. no regrets 50 -+ later. just follow your heart.

  • My favorite Travis Tritt song of all time. This song has so much depth and meaning to me.I was born and raised in the country but now live in the city.Oh how I long for those days spent in the woods and rolling fields with the pond and creeks. When I retire,I'm going back to my roots and the quiet life for sure.
