  • Being a minimalist has changed my life. Unless you’ve experienced this you won’t believe me. I now use the one in one out method. I never want to have to declutter large amounts of things again.
  • I have decluttered so much in the last couple of years & wow it’s so much easier! My old system was me trying to organize chaos.
  • Years ago, my Mom gave me a Fabulous KitchenAid Mixer. I think in 20 years I have used it MAYBE 5 times. It's such a heavy thing to pull out of the cabinet, I just mixed things with spoon or fork. Mom passed away in 2022. I still find myself conflicted about decluttering the mixer.... I mean, it's like $400+usd mixer! 😞

I don't consider myself a minimalist by any means but I have in the last few years decluttered so much. It just makes life so much easier. It is an ongoing process for sure and I am very intentional what I bring into our home now. My only regret is not doing this earlier in life when we were raising our daughter. Although I am happy she has seen the benefit at 27 raising her own family.

If you would put 2-4 bins under your bathroom sink, it would be so much more organized, and taking things out to get ready or clean would be a lot easier than removing each bottle one at a time. Minimal Mom and Clutterbug taught me to turn a shelf into a drawer by adding bins.
  • If would be a rockstar if I could get my under sink cabinet in the bathroom like yours!!

I have a health record notebook. It has all immunizations and test results in pockets. I made a document I add to with each Dr visit or illness. I created a document for meds that worked per lines and a cholesterol/blood sugar history per test. I flagged all major things. I once brought it to a Dr visit and my Dr almost passed out. lol.

Last year I tackled our paperwork and reduced it by so much! We have a two drawer filing cabinet that was so full. Now it's organized (top drawer - important files, bottom drawer - everything not files). Yesterday I actually decided to make a pass through it and got rid of some paperwork I didn't need any longer, put my eyes on things that after tax season next year, I won't need any longer and took a whole bunch of green hanging folders (I don't use those anymore) that were stored and put them into the donate box. It wasn't a huge amount of things, but updating the decluttering is as important as doing it the first time.
  • I’m ready to go through our house again about 15 months after moving. Now I can see what we use in our new location and lifestyle. I’m looking forward to asking the questions you suggest.

I've been following you, Dawn, Dana, Cass, Shannon and others for years... but I just moved and found out I'm not nearly as minimal as I want to be! I downsized, so this is quite expected but WOW. Next level! Thank you for touching on boxes, clothing and paper because I am SO living there right now!! Love you and thanks for powering through your recent channel tribulations 💖💫
  • Funny. I'm about to tackle my garage clutter today🤔🙃 and arguing with myself: where to start. Read: pocrastinating😇. You mentioned we have short term, long term and temporary stuff in the garage.Never looked at it that way. That might help🙏 together with some Swedish death cleaning🙋🇳🇱

Also life has changed so much. We can’t bring homemade treats to school anymore with allergies and food diversity 😒 As a Canadian we have 4 seasons , but it’s actually 2/brutally hot in summer and freezing in winter. The Canadian tuxedo is in my dna even tho the weather never suits my denim jacket lol
