This super clean example of a 99 explorer was junked today. Such a waste to see a car in such condition with low miles being sold for scrap. I guess everyone just needs money for christmas or something..... Anybody need a explorer? $1,000!

This just proves that if you take care of your vehicle, it'll take care of you.

Why would someone scrap this vehicle? There are just too many wasteful people out there.
  • @Corrosion37

I own a '99 Explorer XLT V8 and it's a beautiful SUV. These ORIGINAL EXPLORERS, are wat sport trucks WAS about. Now it's a crossover SUV or as I call it, station wagon. They run for years. Thank you for not scrapping it.

It will sell quick! That 4L will run an easy three to four hundred thousand miles, if it's taken care of.... there great engines!

Nice Explorer. Mine is a 2000 Explorer with 118,000 mile on it. They are great vehicles no matter what people say. Your channel is cool. Love the scrap yard.

That is one VERY CLEAN 1999 Ford Explorer. To your point about the radio, as a Ford dealer tech since 2000, simply turn on the radio of any Ford product (still equipped with the factory audio unit of course) and press and hold #3 and #6 pre-set buttons simultaneously and that will put the audio unit through what's called a speaker walk-around test. Just another useless piece of information for those of you interested.

Hey Jay, awesome Explorer, as a Ford guy i have had 3 of these, '98 Limited, 2000 Limited both in Ontario and no troubles at all both with 4.0 sohc, moved to Calgary Alberta 4 yrs ago and bought '01 Explorer Limited and have had it 3 yrs with no trouble, all vehicles are 4x4s and with sohc, i look after my vehicles and keep all fluids changed regularly. I love this style best and would get another in a heartbeat!!. If u see my little pic, its a '65 T bird i bought last summer, all original and all power except no ac, paid $12,000 for it and i love both vehicles. Thanks for all the videos, really enjoy them, Bill Mason.

This sickens me, people just scrap a perfect 1999 Ford Explorer XLT, and there's nothing wrong with the car! Most likely some people just eager to make some quick easy cash, this car is in too good a condition to be in a junkyard... I hope someone buys it, I really do.
  • If I didnt live in Missouri Id throw $2,000 at that thing. It would be worth it.

I got a Red 1999 Ford explorer XLT 4.0v6, I love that car. Runs great! It has 199,780 miles and still going strong!
  • @carlmiller1023
I have a 97 ford escort with 145000 miles that still runs and drives great and it has heat and cold a/c so I don't know why anybody would scrap something as nice as this.

Where I'm at(upstate NY), junking that would only get you about $200. They could have put it on Craigslist and got $900 just to sell it cheap.

Great video like usual buddy people have lost the value of things so very sad , I wish you and your family a very safe and Joyous Christmas and new year
  • @thevandal7114
I've got the 4.0 ERI in my 97 control track it's got 256k and still runs strong the truck is immaculate only one tiny ding only issue I have had is #3 plug gets stuck and the in-take bolts needed tightening and that's it great little rig
  • @dadsc10
that's amazing, really clean, why someone would junk it? people are strange, if I was closer to your location I would come over today and give you the cash, I'm in Pa. up here you don't see them like that cause they rusted out, if not cared for , good deal my friend :)
