This show is like if Overlord went all the way with being a literal knight in shining armor, always helping others and having no intent to rule the world.

Honestly this show didnt need the isekai storyline at all. it could have just been a fantasy show.

The whole thing with the monsters being controlled by black rings gives me OG Digimon vibes with the whole black gears controlling the inhabitants and making them aggressive

Arc is the sterotype of a wholesome paladin.

The plot of SO many fantasy anime is "humans are awful. Help the kind heart magic elves and animal-eared girls so the world can be peaceful again." I can't wait til "So I'm a Spider. So what!?" Volume 2 comes out and there's evil people of all races on all sides. Such a good show.

I think one thing nobody talks much about when it comes to Isekai (other than being an overused trope with overpowered main characters) is the existential horror aspect, just think about it. One day you're just playing games with the boys and the next morning you wake up in this world, you have no phone, no house, no family, no friends, nothing. Reality as you once knew just snap gone. But the MCs just shrug it off like it’s nothing, although I guess there could be a possibility of returning to your reality like after ‘beating the game’ or something along those lines. I dunno, maybe I'm just jaded and cynical.

I really like this story! The narration and clips are amazing and I love how Ark/Arc just is casually terrifying, he's a nice guy but lit throws a hydra and just summons a fire demon, like- I do rps like that, my character terrifying and powerful but just a nice guy, so I love this narrative! When's the next one coming out
