    I hope they buff this character, not enough to overtune him, but enough to make him strong less self slow, better hitboxes on projectile attack, and maybe something to help with his cooldowns (honestly they could make a bunch of his addons basekit)

    Honestly the part that bums me out the most about vecna is the fact that they'll most likely make some crazy changes coming out of ptb, without having us test them, and they'll likely be broken/bad changes that we'll have to wait forever to see fixed. Seems like he could be a solid/fun killer but we'll have to see what changes when they release him.

    The reason the mori looks weird is because there isn't a skeleton with their hands on the survivor's face, but the "rip" starts at the top of their head. They should have that back skeleton reach its grubbies around the survivor's head and face and pull down right as the rip starts. That would make it look SO much better as a whole with basically no other changes
  • I can't wait to see the patch notes, Vecna is incredible but needs a little buff
  • His cooldowns are so long, that a team of survivors doing an average genrush could really limit you down to maybe 8 (32 total) casts of all of your abilities; and that's only if the genrush takes 6 minutes, you spam every ability the moment it's available, and you get value out of every use of your ability. A real genrush will usually take about 4-5 minutes, and it takes only about 2 minutes (TWO USES) of your abilities to get at least 2-3 gens done with "above average" survivors. His cooldowns are horrendous because overall the abilities don't 100% assure a hit every time. Compare this to blight, who gets 5 rushes - 5 chances to inflict damage with his power - and can use his power constantly for both movement and chase. And the cooldown is like, what, 10 seconds to recharge all tokens from 0? So he'd get around 15-30 rushes a minute, that's 15-30 chances to do damage. With Vecna's power, he'd get maybe 2-3 chances to do damage a minute. At absolute best. His cooldowns should be cut down to 30 seconds at the MINIMUM to compete with any of the other killers. Right now, even with the best addons, I rate Vecna in F tier, below Ghost Face for sure. At least Ghost Face has stealth and the potential for some legitimate pressure on the right maps, Vecna has to be a God at DBD to pressure good survivors at all. I'd say in terms of lethality, he's also below Myers, because Myers could Tombstone his way into C Tier. Is he worse than Trapper? Maybe.

    I don't think I'll be getting this killer unless he gets buffed, without add-ons he's borderline useless with any add-ons but his iridescents he's gimmicky at best, against any decent survivor or swf your never gonna see value from any of these abilities. Rly hope behavior does something to buff him a bit, if they don't I don't see them making much money off this one. I've said before and I'm sure others have too that a killer shouldn't have to rely on add-ons to be effective let alone work at all.

    Something interesting I noticed is that you can only see what type of magical items they have if you dispel them first. It could be useful to dispel people just to see what items they have to know what kind of counter play they currently have

    Btw the mage hand is far stronger than most people give it credit due to how it interacts with survivors interacting with a pallet. If you cast it RIGHT when a survivor drops it they get stuck in the animation and you get a free hit (like a scuffed nemi tentacle) and if you cast it RIGHT when they vault it they end up on the side they were trying to vault from giving a free hit.

    Dispelling Sphere specifically would be lovely if it had a buff. It really feels like it needs SOME kind of niche offensive capability, since Vecna often uses all 3 of the other spells offensively and Dispelling Sphere ends up as the last one not on cooldown. Something like "Survivors drop their held item" or "reveals a survivor's magic items on the HUD PERMANENTLY until the survivor picks up a new magic item" or "Survivor can no longer see your red stain". Doesn't have to be strong, just something that's worth it to use in chase on a survivor you know you'll hit. It would also be really cool if it had some extra, more niche effects. Like "Dispelling Sphere dispels boon totems that it passes through. Hex Totems will visually appear as normal totems (not on fire) to survivors for 60 seconds after the Sphere passes it."

  • My personal favourite use of dispelling sphere is when an artifact is in play, I almost strictly used Vorpal sword so if I hooked a survivor who had an artifact, I would cast a sphere towards the hook to prevent a heal and therefore prevent the use of the artifact. Also the pallet break.

    I once again will say: I find yellow addon for Flight hillarious. Because all spells besides Flight has a 2 sec slowdown after casting. But Flight has 2.5 sec slowdown. And yoellow addon simply removes this 0.5 seconds, and makes Flight slowdowm equal to all other spells. It feels like BHVR did basic Flight slowdown longer on purpose, just to sold you a solution in the form of addon
