Thanks for making this video! I am going to be attending Baker's in a couple weeks and this has really helped me feel better about knowing what to expect and how to prepare myself. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm in Rockwall and planning a Zenith 701 build. I watched your vid on the things you didn't like and am scratch building the tail section to incorporate a standard rudder. A&P is not in my plans, but learned from this none the less.

Got my IA prep through Baker’s. Outstanding.

I'm not sure you are giving Baker's a fair evaluation. You were to either have a diploma from an A & P school or certify on form 8610 to the FAA that you have the experience to take the test. Baker's isn't supposed to teach you things you didn't already know. You were supposed to have that knowledge either from your prior education or experience prior to going to Baker's. Baker's purpose is to refresh your knowledge and get you ready to take the test.

wish i had seen this video earlier. currently sitting in my hotel the day before i attend bakers. this video was very helpful in knowing what to expect. my coworker who attended bakers earlier told me not to study and go there with a clear mind, just memorize dont learn.

I just completed my apprenticeship and go to Bakers in 2 weeks. I have only studied some Prepware, do you think it would be smart to continue to study that or just forget it and wait til I get to Bakers?
  • Whew, I start class next Monday the 19th. I’m much more anxious now after watching. The oral was 169 questions!! Plus I don’t think I get the full 2 weeks; I’m supposed to meet with my oral and practical examiner on Thursday the 29th.
  • You had a hard time because you didn’t do what you were told. All of the instructors are great especially the cute redhead that you didn’t like. They’re not in the business of helping you understand the material, they teach you how to memorize the questions and answers and pass the tests. The formulas don’t matter, and you should not have even attempted to work them out. Total waste of time. I scored mid 90’s on all 3 written tests and was finished early Fri. morning. Took the weekend off then sailed through the practicals and left the following Thursday morning with my A&P. Go to Baker’s, it’s worth it. Do exactly what they tell you, and you will pass. That simple.
