Welcome to another intricate watercolor composition where we can practice 3 essential watercolor techniques:
🍋 1) Glazing {slow and gradual layers - the best way to build depth and volume while preserving luminosity with watercolor};
🍋 2) Blooming {quick, easy and very beginner-friendly way to watercolor - suitable for anything and everything, especially the background elements}, and
🍋 3) Wet-on-dry {this never gets old and is always helpful if you like additional realistic texture and extra impactful shadows}

  • This is beautiful! I would not add a bee or butterfly. It would be too much. Right now it’s perfect.
  • The turquoise is exactly what the painting needed. Like everyone else has said it’s stunning! No need for a bee or butterfly 👍🏼

    Along with all the folks who said this already, your painting is just gorgeous, and inspiring. But I'd also like to add that your voice is very soothing, and you speak so clearly, with no ums nor errrs. A very refreshing change. I will be checking out more of your videos.

    Without a doubt, this is one of the most beautful watercolor paintings I have ever seen. You changed my mind. I have never really liked watercolor until I saw your work. I bought oils and I quickly realized they aren't for me.. I am going to try watercolor now. I have never liked that translucent wishy-washy look, but now I can see how those blooms can work in your factor. Thank you!
  • @StudioXue
    This is stunning! The colors are so pretty together and the overall composition is delightful as is.
  • I love it so much!!! Yellow/green vs perylene violet is such an interesting contrast. And turquoise gave an amazing wow factor. Great painting Anna!!!
  • @rajajay007
    my son is a fan of your painting and we both regularly learn from this ....thanx for such beautiful sharing
  • Absolutely beautiful!!! this painting needs nothing more. It's perfect as it is. The colors are wonderful.
  • I love this painting as is. Bird is the focal point and there is plenty of textures and details to look at as it stands.
  • I love this just as it is. I agree that an insect might detract from the beauty of the bird, lemons and gorgeous foliage. BTW, I really really like the addition of the turquoise in the greenery. There is always a lovely, unexpected surprise in your color choices!! I will be watching the full length tutorial on Patreon. Blessings sweet lady!
  • The painting is beautiful as you have it. I love the use of colors. No bugs. It is best as it is now.
  • This is seriously SO beautiful! What a talent.. my favorite watercolor tutorial to date. 🥰🥰

    Wow this was so insightful, I was always so impatient with watercolour in the past but now I'd love to give these techniques a go. This is a wonderful and inspiring video thank you 😊
  • This is very, very beautiful. I wouldn’t change a thing or add anything else. It might take away from the bird and the way she shines its magnificent..
  • @NayadaraT
    So beautiful and insightful ! Thank you so much!
  • @romypie3725
    Thanks a lot for the demonstration on your technique, it’s really helpful. Your painting is just gorgeous!❤

    Personally I think a bee would be perfect to balance the empty white space above the beak. Also I think the yellow of the bee would compliment the existing colour palette and unlike a butterfly which I think would take the focus away as it would be too large. The bee would be petite enough to serve the purpose without being too distracting. Whatever you do it's always beautiful anyway, I absolutely love your style and use of colour, it's magnificent. Thank you for sharing your stunning work with us ❤️ 😊.
