As a kid, we lived near a large swamp. We did the same thing Mr AJ is doing (build paths, dig ditches to let water drain, etc.) only on a much smaller scale. It is so satisfying to watch water drain (or collect, we built dams too!). If Mr AJ enjoys what he is doing even a quarter of how much fun we had as kids doing that, he must really love his job.
