Omg I loved it. I am almost 40 years old and I love doing projects with my Daddy. Dad's are the best.

LOL I`m an older generation but still have my very helpful hubby! I call HELP and he always does! ❤

Your dad is so cute!! What a nice guy! I could tell he really cares for you. ❤
  • How I wish I could be doing things with my lovely dad , who I lost 36 years ago. Good idea you had.

What an uplifting message Miriam. Yes. You got your quilt marked (mind blown!) but you have the love and support of your dad and mom who believe in you. That’s everything. I had parents like that too. I could never have figured out the math. That was a joy to watch. ❤❤

I’m 20 minutes in and it just keeps getting better! You’ve got a great Dad. 🤗 I love Dad technical terms like ‘swirly deals’! I love how he simplified everything! He explained it beautifully! That’s how my grandfather taught me to do this type of scaling. ❤ And to think basic measuring like this was how the Egyptians made the pyramids.

How this made me miss my sweet genius Dad! I am happy for you that you have yours.
  • @NichiBaker
So awesome to see you and your dad working together and hear you laughing so much!!!! Loved seeing how you marked your guidelines to get ready for the next step. Thank you for sharing ❤

Special thanks to your Dad for sharing his knowledge.
  • I bet your dad could figure out how to mark out the Baptist fan quilting lines too, hint hint. it seems everything nowadays requires having to buy a template. You and your dad could start a series on how to quilt w/o having to buy expensive templates, I know I’d watch. Your dad’s idea on how to mark out spirals was ingenious, I could figure out what and how he was doing this and will be able to use his idea on my own quilts. Thx dad for this invaluable info. It’s obvious you and your dad have a wonderful relationship, all of us should be as lucky. ❤ Edited to say: I subscribed the second I saw this video, I look forward to watching more of your tutorials. Off to binge watch now.
  • This is a brilliant bit of analog computing! Using the diameter of the dowel to control the distance between turns of the spiral is so clever!
  • Thank you, not just for the spiral tutorial but the absolute joy and love of watching you and your dad work on the project together. I lost my dad several years ago and I could hear him and I in your banter and giggles. It brought back so many cherished memories of working on projects with my dad. I can't wait to see the final quilt!
