So glad I grew up in the 70, 80's! We had so much great music to listen to!! Today's (2023) crap doesn't compare.

I'm a musician and singer from the 1960's. I appreciate musicians like Pablo Cruise . I was the front singer for a 9 piece band in the college. Started in high school garage band. One of the groups I played in, Angle Oak, currently has a song featured in the movie Summer 02 . Of all the groups I performed in, the best was a 4 piece band, called JustUs . Each of us performed and sang lead on numerous songs through the 4 set gig. We did top 40, Oldies but Goodies, Beach Classics and a melody of top #1 hits. Watching Pablo Cruise perform reminded me of our wonderful years performing. Always to a full house filled with people that followed us no matter where we performed. When I watch these guys performing, always smiling and sweat running down their faces brings back the best memories .

I was TODAY years old when I found out Pablo Cruise is the name of the BAND and NOT a person. XD

These guys are the real deal. Relegating virtually all of what is produced in the 2000s straight into a dumpster.
  • Thank you for this song.....haven't heard it in years. Dont listen to the radio anymore, nothing worthwhile listening too. All the best !

A brilliant track, from a band that is unheard of here in Britain. If it wasn't for my girlfriend who is American, I would never have heard this gem.
  • Yep the seventies were the best. Feel sorry for those that missed it.

Gotta say in '78 or so my band opened up for these guys in a theater in Omaha. Packed house and as we were goin to the stage, we walked by their dressing room and they were warming up vocally. They sounded great. We went on and did our set. Not one of our best, but we did OK. When we came off stage and walked past their room, they were STILL singing! We did a 45 minute set! Of course they came on and blew us away as we sat in the audience. We earned a a lesson that night, let me tell ya.

I'm 22 and love this song! My dad raised me to this kind of music. And I'm black...just thought I would add that lol
