The scenery on this railway is unparalleled.
  • Beautiful, Michael, just beautiful!!! Thank you for the update on your absence, but of course, you have other commitments in your life. What an great opportunity to enjoy London with your sons, and one of your friends from here. Thank you for the positivity that you share through your work and your videos! Not only are they a joy to watch, they certainly provide inspiration to me when stuck for ideas on how to execute certain building concepts.

The buildings on the layout although also in N-scale, have been compressed. This helps explain why the cathedral looks so huge - no compression.

Hell, you come a long way with the mockup. It will surely be an impressive finished building. Arthur
  • Thank you so much Michael! The members video list is great and I’m looking forward to exploring the uploads - wish I’d become a member ages ago! All the best!
  • Well, it is an interesting interpretation of the phrase "cathedrals of railway" for railway stations. As long as your marvellous mock-up does make way for some trains now and then, everything is okay. Keep up the fine work, Michael. All the best Valentin
  • you can't put the cathedral there, it will block the railway
  • Well worth waiting for. Was up in Bradford last Month and took a good look at the full size Bradford Cathedral. Our Parish Church in Ringmer is a listed building 13th Century and refused permission for solar panels. Noted Bradford Cathedral gained permission.
  • If you want the full copper verdigris effect use Windsor and Newton's Galeria varnish! It's definitely not inkjet print friendly. That said, it is absolutely fine on everything else I've applied it to. Cheers

You have made me a believer in using the paper models, I am speechless.......Great work, Cheers
  • Thank you for the interesting and informative video. I look forward to your further progress. Best wishes.
  • The cathedral is certainly going to be another epic build Michael, have you seen Dylan's latest bit of Dylington nonsense 'School Holidays' it's quite a fun video....cheers James πŸ™‚πŸ‘

Idea: consider doing your varnishes on a test printout, with various colours etc printed on it; at the same time keep a control printout with no varnish. Date them and store. Then you will know over time how each varnish changes appearance.
  • Impressive build so far always knew it would be. Looking forward to the Inkscape video also. Always happy to learn new tricks.
  • Hahaha - look at the little guy on the platform there. My gawd, it's massive!!!! :D
  • Very impressive as expected and making great progress. Great job
  • I have been using the PermaJet PermaProtect for a while. Not done any controlled testing, but it seems OK. I apply to prints, once they are dry to give protection during build. It takes bending / folding OK (better than the AK interactive Matt which cracked)
