Great video, Sam. I love all the outfits and fabrics you picked.
  • I love the dress you made from the dovet cover! I giggled when you asked the owner not to tell you where the other fabric stores were!

You create such beautiful and feminine outfits. Lovely. 😀

Lovely video - not been to Brighton for years and it looks like i definitely need a trip now.

Interesting comments about your self discovery and reading… Just to tag off that and the title of one of your books, How Not to Wear Black, I don’t like to wear black and I don’t feel good in it. I discovered this through my own sewing journey. I have determined navy blue to be my “neutral.” I am much happier in blue. Looking forward to hearing more about your epiphanies!
  • Great vlog, your Belle dress looked great with your rainbow jacket. Loved your tour of the Brighton shops, your fabrics are all gorgeous. I might have to stop watching your vlogs they always cost me money, or get some self control 😂😂Ive just placed some cuffing in my basket 🤦‍♀️😂😂
  • Great video, really interesting mix. Have ordered a seco d hand version of the book looks fascinating. Lovely colourful fun fabrics. Went on hols to Brighton years ago, lovely place, and a great vibe.

I love leopard print also. I just saw a lovely one. I flipped through the images and came to one which showed the whole yardage and i was like no, i won't wear that.

Wow, what a week! Amazing fabrics-the pink with yellow really spoke to me. I love both of your dress contenders for your Brighton trip. Having fabric shops like the ones you visited would be dreamy! I’m really looking forward to your quilted jacket vlogs. My climate doesn’t call for many jackets, and no coats, but I do want to make a quilted vest. (Not sure what that’s called in the UK…maybe a waistcoat?) Oh, yes! Your pants of color! I must steer in that direction. Sew with joy! 😘
  • Lovely video as always! I spent a fortnight in Brighton several years ago while attending a school for English teachers and I loved it. I preferred the North Lanes too. It was the first time I discovered a shop for vegan shoes, quite astonishing and rare at the time.

Ditto fabrics is one of my favorites for jersey. I’ve also heard their punto di Roma is good as high viscose content not polyester. I can recommend the Brighton festival as well. Looks like you had a great time and lovely purchases.

Great vlog as always love your bold choices you put together it’s really not me but you always look great in everything ❤❤

I think you might like some of the fabrics but the German company Hamburgerliebe. Hamburger Love. I recognised one of the fabrics on there Bee last night. Suzy made a patchwork skirt for a child. One of the fabrics was pink with stylised lsdies swimming, in a grid pattern. I have an Ogden Cami made from the same fabric.

Oooh love Brighton, I'm a Sussex girl and used to work in Brighton. I didnt pick up sewing again until after I moved away so not been to any of of these shops. Infact not sure I've been back in 16years 😮 Might need to remedy that!

Not sure but the striped fabric you got in Brighton might go with the apple print from Germany to make a raglan sleeve top as was pictured.
