Singapore to Tokyo by Sea: 3772 Miles of INCREDIBLE Sights

Every day I was amazed by the things I saw cruising from Singapore to Tokyo. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I don't think I would have believed it. I'll show you everything in this video!

I’ve just disembarked a cruise on the biggest American cruise ship ever designed for the Chinese market, we sailed from Singapore to Tokyo and although I’ve cruised plenty of times in the past in America or Europe this trip surprised me in every way possible. From the ship to the passengers, the entertainment to the destinations, it was completely different to what I’m used to.

There are so many incredible places to visit by ship, here's a few of my favourites:
- Cruising into the Arctic Circle:    • Cruising Into The Arctic Circle to Fi...
- I visited 27 of Britains best sites:    • I Visited 27 of Britain's Best Sights...
- Cruising across Germany, cycling everyday:    • Discovering Germany by Bike and Barge...

I have cruised with Royal Caribbean in the past and have always enjoyed the experience so when I saw that they were sailing in Asia I thought that this would be the perfect way to give a trip like this a go. The reviews of this ship were considerably worst than others in the fleet but I was honestly ready for anything and I wanted to find out why.

We boarded the ship in Singapore and despite the fact that there were lots of different nationalities onboard and visas needed it actually didn’t take as long as I expected. They did take and keep our passports which is very common on Asia cruises. We had copies of our passports and our driving licenses so it wasn’t a problem.

I’d already checked in online pre-cruise and because I’m from the UK I didn’t need any visas for the places that we were visiting. Spectrum of the Seas was built in 2019 and she can hold almost 5000 people at maximum capacity. I’d learn later that the most popular common onboard was Singaporean!

Which does make sense and it explains a lot of things that happened on the cruise.
Walking into the ship was such an exciting feeling, I took a cruise a couple of years ago onboard Anthem of the Seas which is the sister ship to this one, meaning that they have the same base design. Spectrum is like Anthems Chinese cousin and I was excited to see what differences there would be.

  • Emma, your videos are always so wonderfully put together. Speaking for myself, I think this one might be your masterpiece, at least so far. Even at 25 minutes I was never bored, and honestly, it flew by, and I could have easily watched 25 more minutes. I could see these videos being very much like watching a reel of somebody's holiday snaps and how dull that would be, but your narration gives everything so much life. Brilliant, as always.

I love your channel. NO drama. NO politics. It is so peaceful.

Imagine going halfway around the world and still having to deal with people not getting back to their tour bus on time. SMH

I love this channel! I have no interest in cruising but Emma's channel is so fun to watch!

I love your content. I love how you produce your content. No preamble; no title card or end card. All content. I love it. (And so informative).

The unsweetened Japanese tea in a bottle is one of my favourite. I drink tea without sugar.

Great video here Emma! As a Singaporean, I hope that you enjoyed your time in Singapore before starting the cruise at Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Hopefully you did get a chance to visit the HSBC Rain Vortex waterfall at Jewel Changi Airport this time or if not, hopefully next time. I do agree that the humidity is something that many visitors and even locals like us often can't bear with. Thank you for sharing with us your cruise experience in this video here!

I absolutely loved Singapore too! Such a lovely clean, safe place. The heat didn’t even bother me (being from Brisbane). Thanks so much for your fantastic videos! 💞

Loved this! Exciting to see as I’m doing a similar itinerary in reverse next month. May have to try a hop on hop off bus in HK as per your suggestion :)

    We love Singapore🇸🇬 and Japan🇯🇵

Because of Emma, I went on my very first cruise this year. I didn't really like it that much and I don't know if I ever wanna do it again, but I'm staying for the very entertaining videos :)

While I was working at Google headquarters, (Mountain View, Calif.), a few years ago, I was really pleased to find that all their restrooms were outfitted with the best Japanese toilets. Turned out to be the ONLY thing I missed about not working there any longer.

We did a similar itinerary in 2020 just prior to COVID. Singapore to Yokohama on Diamond Princess. One of our favourite trips that we've done. I grew up in Malaysia (and live in Sydney now) so it's always nice to get back to Singapore for a visit. We loved Japan. As you say, it's so easy to get around and everyone is happy to help you out even if you don't speak the language.
  • @YouChwb
That is the best tourist vid I've ever seen. So informative, honest, and with a sprinkling of humour. Thanks Emma.
  • @Ampman
This video was so much more than a cruise video. The sights and vistas were beautiful. The way you described everything made me feel like you had a great time and dare I say you may have inspired me to try something like this. Thank you Emma 😊

I’ve never been on a cruise and I honestly don’t know if I ever will but I adore your videos and love whenever I see a new one pop up! They’re always so interesting, and you’re so calming to listen to! Can’t wait to see what’s next 🧡
  • It amazes me how people manage to miss buses, even when the time has been clearly given to them! Thank you for the video! The scenery looks amazing!

Emma the way you tell stories is so Captivating! I always check to see if you’ve posted something new because you always make me smile. I love the way you told the story about the nail glue, truely felt like something out of a sitcom lol!
