Great video for thought!

If you are paying $120 a month for Netflix, the cost of the car is the least of your problems.
-
We went from $19.00 a month to $100.00 a month in record breaking speed.
-
Americans, you have no idea how lucky you are. I know you are not doing great economically but are better off than most. I live somewhere in Eurasia, I am studying engineering and would love to have a four-wheel car no matter how old it is.

💡 dealer fee was $699, they sell 50 leafs a month like the saleperson said, dealership making $35000/mth just on dealer fees
-
Colorado had 80,000 registered EVs in late 2023, their stated goal is 940,000 by 2030. If the 860,000 additional EVs each come with a $5k state tax credit, the cost is $4.3B in a state with a $40B budget.

I think if you want to try an electric car.. and if you merely want a car to commute to and from school and or work.. and to run around town and not necessarily take long road trips.. then that is an amazing deal.. I also feel that if dealerships want to gain more comsumer interest in the ev industry / market.. then this is a great deal to offer.

Starbucks is the bigest ripoff....
-
im more amazed 3 drinks at starbucks is more than $19
-
Just like that, dealer magic and you're caught in a contract with a car you don't really want.
-
So, you're renting the car for a 2 year period, for ~$120/month.
-
I know technically it's correct to say, "That's a lot of Leafs" when referring to the car named "Leaf", but that was a prime opportunity to say "That's a lot of Leaves"... I'll show myself out.
-
So basically, we the taxpayers are paying for so much of those vehicles.
-
The craziest part to me is that they are only estimating 30% depreciation over two years, when many EV’s are seeing 50% after just a year. I suspect that many lease companies are going to be taking a bath when these leases are turned in and are worth much less than the lease payments cover.

Good video, interesting what's out there. Take a drink every time they say "taxes and fees"!!
-
A few years back my buddy leased a Chevy Malibu for $110/month tax included with a true zero down. Incredible deal
-
I guess that is one way to clear those other-wise hard to sell Leafs of a lot.
-
Anytime a dealership has an offer that seems top good to be true, IT IS.
-
How much does it cost to turn the vehicle back in at the end of the lease? Many dealers charge extra fees at the end of the lease. Nissan may charge a fee also.
-
Not a fan of Nissan, but this could be a great deal for some folks.
