They go backwards to keep more weight in the back (side facing up hill) and helps prevent tipping over or catching the bucket and flipping

Easily got my thumbs up. Nicely presented video and down-to-earth narrations. No stupid music and we actually got to hear the original sounds of the clips! Thank you!

If it weren't for the horribly patronising and sarcastic voice over, this would have been a good video
  • @computerjantje
Like with most of the youtube compilation videos the narration is the low point. This video would have been much better without any narration.

In our place all heavy trucks modified to have water tank to drip the brakes to keep it from overheating. Especially in hilly roads as most our roads.

The tyres on the big dump trucks cost as much as a house. Driver managed to burn 2 of them!

Going in reverse keeps you from getting chunked through the windshield if it gets out of control.

Feel for the mechanic without a pressure washer that has to work on this muddy beast ?

I'm still trying to imagine if the Caterpillar 797F got stuck instead.
  • DID YOU SEE THE HEIGHT THAT DUDE FELL FROM ? FORTUNATELY HE WAS NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED ?

I'm guessing the dozer backing down the sloped has to do with the oil pickup in the sump
