Inside a UK airport, a female passenger is caught smuggling in cigarettes more than the legal allowance. The suspect pretends to not know of the allowance but later admits she is a repeat offender in this crime. Elsewhere, custom officers stop passengers with suspicious baggage. A swipe of their belongings shows high traces of drugs. The officers must locate the drugs before they can charge the passengers with a crime.

At airports in England, customs agents check suspicious baggages and odd travellers to prevent illicit activity and substances from entering the UK. Officers pick out nervous passengers, and believing them to be drug mules, scan them for drugs. Sniffer dogs pick out illegal packages.

I have no stake in this, I am not a world traveler. I rarely leave my home due to illness. That being said, the one small red phone on a support pillar versus a huge “Nothing to Declare” point does definitely seem like a a trap. I say this having watched these going back to shortly after the Millennium, and they still haven’t changed it at UK, it is a trap, they don’t want you to declare or they would have made it far more visible. Exhausted travelers aren’t going to be alert enough to see the phone, and if they did, they would assume a red phone was reserved for security purposes, red being an indication not to touch.

Not going to lie. These customs officers are very generous with those bringing in cigarettes more than they are allowed. Most customs will literally take away all of the cigarettes and not allow them to take what is allowed by law.

The 65 year old tobacco pouch smuggler is such a bully! I wish he could have been charged with a crime for the smuggling, not just denied tobacco

Those who claim they smoke 100 cigarettes a day, to justify their huge amounts should under go a lung screening.

500 per week is 70 per day is 3.5 packs a day. Yeah, right. Of course with Brexit the limit I believe is now 200 cigarettes.

The custom officers are driving me crazy being apologetic and saying they're sorry to every other smuggler.
  • The elderly couple who had a huge amount of tobacco acted ridiculously. The man reminded me of my seven year old nephew.
  • As there are only seven days a week, how can she smoke 500 a week. For her to smoke 50/60 a day she would
    need ten days a week.

Instead of destroying the cigsand tobacco, they should sell them and put the money toward their mental health facilities, homelessness. They could sell them in there charity shops and put the money toward worth while charities. The money would be huge.
