I think this video captures exactly why it's a shame that these kind of shops are disappearing. the "oh this looks interesting" and the "oh I just noticed this and this." The little discoveries by browsing which you don't get in an online shop. I do need a list of all the artist/mange names of this episode to look them up because.... whoaw that are a lot.
  • I love that CDs are still big in Japan. I collect CDs still, I have hundreds!
  • @PragMagik
As Degen as the topic of the video is, it's really wholesome of Joey to give this closing store such a kind send off.
  • Joey single handedly keeping the doujin and cultured manga market alive

  • Man I miss the monthly otaku reviews that Josh the Manga Lad used to do. They were always great ways for me to discover some unknown mangas. Not exactly a monthly otaku review, but I'll take those recommendations
  • @PinBiohazard
It's always sad to see stores like that lose a physical location

It makes me sad that so many physical places are slowly disappearing in Japan before I can actually go there and see them myself... I originally had plans to go to Japan in spring 2020 but well we all know what happened there and I have been waiting so long for the country to fully open back up and it's torture to see things vanish 1 by 1 from a distance without being able to experience them 😢
  • @hanaki1996
Joey’s love for horse girls will always be a question yet to be answered Yet that store offered some wild stuff
