Took my mum to her first ever concert a couple of years ago when they were playing in edgerly, she loved every minute of it, Paul has that way of making you feel like you're meeting a mate in the pub for a pint and a song, sadly mum died last year but it will always be a great memory for me xxx

I am pretty confident that the narrator is not one of the band members and is, infact, Craig Cash of Royle Family fame...

"shall we go somewhere else big boy?" hahaha love him.
  • Once met Paul Heaton and "His Dole-ie Mate Kev" when they were in Dublin. (I gather he was having a Domestic at the time...) I was DJing at a club and we got talking about music and I was invited back to their flash hotel, (it was The Westbury) for a late gargle. The Concierge balked at us arriving at 4am and explained the 'residents only' policy. (IE, NOT me!) Heaton produced his wallet and said, "So make him a resident..." Incredibly open, kind, nice, generous, funny, sad, soulful, intelligent guy... (Funnily enough, years later, wearing my other hat as a Music Journalist, I interviewed him and Jaqui Abbot... She was lovely, HE WAS A PRICK!!!) But hey... Nobody likes journalists! But HEATON is a songwriter up there with Costello, Randy Newman and Stephen Patrick M... (And a genuinely lovely guy to talk to about music, life and love with...) Respect. xx SF

Paul is good but in my opinion Dave is the best singer. He was supposed to be the lead singer. I realized that he was always on the plane. It's good that today he has his own band.
