X-Men 97 vs Classic X-Men theme difference Cons of new Trailer 1. 0:20 - In the lightning effect, Storm has the shadow of cloud on her, while the new trailer doesn't add that. Which makes it less realistic and less epic. 2. 0:35 - Much better pose for Beast in old theme. 3. 0:56 - In the running shot, angle/perspective is better in old one. Pros 1. 0:16 - Better drawn Wolverine 2. 0:18 - Better Rouge with color correction 3. 0:25 - Better jump , leg animation is dynamic 4. 0:31 - Better Gene design (inspired from X-Men evolution) 5. 0:35 - Beast jump is better. (impact shown on object) 6. 0:37 - Improved animation

X-Men 97 didn't riffs the original X-men cartoon series, this new animation is just a reimagined by keeping it like in the 90's.

I'd say the worst thing they did was removing the sound effects for magneto and xavier abilities faceoff at the end. The way the sounds of there powers just syncs and elevates the music as it reaches its peak is just way to good.
