She collapsed in the boat, but she still had the presence to reach out for her friend after they were both staring at death. That's a bonding experience they'll never forget whenever they meet.

They literally came in the Nick of time. Hypothermia was probably just beginning. Glad they were rescued. Those men are heroes
  • That fisherman was getting emotional talking about it.. As you realize you’ve saved a life, once someone’s baby, has to be akin to accomplishing a miracle.❤

God Bless you, fishermen!! Without your help, those girls wouldn’t have had much of a chance of survival.
  • My Dad was a fisherman. He saved someone's life in the water that was drowning. That was awesome what you guys did for those girls. Stay blessed 🙏

After having nearly drowned at about the age of those girls myself, I can attest to how terrifying it is & how grateful I was to the man that saved me.

You guys are American hero! This girls will never forget you.
  • The way the body feels after struggling to stay above water for a long period is incredible. These girls are so lucky just like I was when two man helped me from drowning.
  • These men were the angels that God sent to save the girls. There is no doubt that they would not have survived if the men hadn't been at the right place at the right time. There are no coincidences. God bless the men and the girls, this was certainly a profound moment in their lives.

The ocean is so powerful and should not be misjudged. Me and a group of friends were riding huge, and I mean HUGE waves in Ecuador and got swept out. We were unaware of the riptide and were all just having fun. Until we looked behind us and were dangerously far from shore. Two surfers saw us from the beach and swam up with their boards and we all grabbed on to them and they guided us to shore. We all collapsed onto the sand like those girls did in the video from absolute exhaustion. Was a very necessary lesson learned and gave me more respect for the Ocean and her power. The surfers said tourists drown here very often and they wish the authorities were more interested in keeping people aware of the danger of riptides. They said we were about the 20th group of people they’ve rescued. Very thankful they saw us and decided to help. Respect the sea, swim back to shore diagonally, take breaks, and do the deadman’s float every few minutes to conserve energy. These are all tips the surfers gave us. They also said wear some F ** life jackets if you’re going to be that stupid and oblivious in the water. 😂😩🥲 shout out to the Ecuadorian pitters 🤙🏼
