Finally someone showing the reality about the AI art on etsy
  • @essboogy
Your honesty has earned you a follow. Too many on this platform trying to make it seem as though everyone will be earning £5000 per month immediately.

Just a small nitpicky math note: Marking it up by 15% and then setting it to 15% off isn’t a zero sum calculation. For example, a $50.00 item +15% ($57.50) will be ~$48.88 at 15% off.

This is the thing that people don't seem to comprehend when starting an Etsy shop and/or an e-commerce business in general - results don't happen overnight. If your expectation is to make quick art and sell it quickly on these shops, you might as well throw in the towel now. Like with any business, getting traffic to your site is key. You need traffic to convert to sales. Most people get discouraged after a month or two because they see little to no traffic and think it means their products aren't good enough. Which leads ro failure. If you believe in your work or what you are offering, then sticking with it, putting in the effort and continuing to learn how the business works to bring traffic to your shop, is the only way to have a successful business. I know a few people that started from scratch with their shops. On average it took them 6-8 months to start seeing steady, profitable sales. All three are about 2 or more years into their shops and doing quite well. Now they are implementing AI work into their process and things have really taken off. So it takes time. Just like any other business. No different than starting a YouTube channel. It doesn't happen overnight. If you aren't willing to invest your time, effort and money, then you won't see the results. So this was a good video for anyone getting into the space. To understand this is a marathon, not a sprint. Set your expectations, base those expectations in REALITY, research the business and put in the work. These are the keys to making things happen.

my wife wanted to try this as a side hustle to bring in some extra cash every month so i've been watching videos on it. this is the first video I've found that actually came off as honest. those youtubers out there claiming to make $20k/month are just clickbait assholes. they got into that world early which allowed them to establish their etsy store long before the rush of people and now they just milk it further by making bullshit videos. They probably make more off the video claim than they do their store. Your results come off as what an actual regular person can expect if they try to get into this today

If someone else hasn't already suggested it, I propose a challenge to convert your shop to digital downloads (keep all same art) and see what happens in 30 days.
  • I am 100% following you after this video. Thank you for being real and authentic.
  • @KeonteTV
Bruh, I loved the honesty and the story telling done with this video... it was short, sweet, informational and engaging all the way through. Good stuff bro!
  • @marcbobson
I LOVE this video because the author breaks down the financials in great detail and honestly. So many videos focus just on top line revenue but don't drill into the true costs. This was an excellent 30 day analysis.
  • @juniorsmart2543
I appreciate you honesty and candidacy. How refreshing it was n a sea of well made videos that make it seem easy!
  • @daxter9446
My God, I love how real this video is, I felt that you went through the same thing as me and you think like me and it really took a load off my mind after I sold so little, thank you very much for this REAL video

AI Print is Massively saturated ...Most consumers are on to AI created art, and don't seem to care for it ... I actually sell hand-Drawn/Painted artwork, and those are the ones that sell, I use the AI for reference and then hand Draw&Paint it...I took all the AI prints down because they weren't selling at all, I've had people message me if they were AI created, and said they can easily create and print it themselves
  • First time seeing someone sharing the information honestly on youtube.
  • Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make Mistake but they don’t quit... As the economic crisis keep rising, we literally need to have different streams of income. The crypto and stock market has plenty opportunities to earn a decent Payouts with the right skills and proper Understanding of how the market works.
  • I LOVE THIS! Someone actually being honest, and showing that it isn't always quick and easy
  • I appreciate how transparent you are in your videos. It's clear that you're passionate about financial freedom and that you genuinely care about helping others. Thank you for being such a positive force in the YouTube community!

Something else I want to mention if you just opened an Etsy store it’s important to know that anytime you change or edit your Etsy listing it will take at least 24 to 36 hours to actually get it back into the algorithm. So keep that in mind every time you make an edit or change to your listing, you will not see much traffic on that for one to two days he needs time to get back into the algorithm.
  • @Loxrad28
At last someone who is transparent and honest!!! Thanks, dude, this was really helpful.
