I love how Dave speaks in a way that in Russian there is an expression: "Start from a far". He starts talking about topic, goes long way and different roads, links many stories that you think are not related to it, and at the end is like unexpected eureka moment where he makes conclusion and all stories are kind of linked together to one spot and make sense.
  • Thumbs up America!!! Choe is an absolute legend, genius, dengenerate gentlemen and I mean that in the best way possible. Stoked for this one Steve!!!!

Choe is the man. He had an art show, The Choe Show, in Koreatown that you had to apply to get into, then you got to go for free. He basically turned an entire office building into an art installation. Everyone was broken up into groups, put on painters suits, and had a tour guide. I cant even begin to desribe how amazing and life-changing it was. Each floor of the building, including the roof was a completely different themes, all executed in amazing detail. There were live 3-D holograms, a choir, actors reciting lines throughout the tour, the craziest paintings and art pieces all over the place. I honestly cant even comprehend how much I saw in those 3 hours. There were no phones allowed. I will never forget David singled me out of my group and took me over to a sink where an elderly Korean man and Choe himself started washing my hands, bothing wearing diapers, whilst asking me very emotional questions. I wish he would do it again so more people could experience it, it was incredible. Such an underrated talent and human being.

I've seen the majority of Steve's podcasts. This for sure has been the best one. The introspection in this episode is eye opening. I've been a gigantic fan of David and his art for almost 20 years. These guys are awesome

  • Thank you guys. I can relate to you all on different levels. I lost my brother may 20th. I was an ego maniac. Didn't go see him the last year of his life . The shame and guilt are where I'm at now. I appreciate the sharing of your own experiences.
  • These past few days I’ve literally been obsessed with David Choe lmao and then he is this weeks guest 😂 that is fucking amazing dude ✊🏼

Just want to say this is probably one of my favorite episodes of the podcast, really hit home for me... I was literally in tears thinking about myself when you guys were talking about addiction, depression, and shame. Made me really look at myself and my issues with how I feel emotionally and my issues with my past, chronic nerve pain, and food. I've been on the fence about therapy for a while and I think hearing David and the methods he mentioned about coping and stuff has really made me think therapy might really help so I can learn coping mechanisms. I know yall wont see this but I still wanted to say thank you to you guys and David. Sometimes it's hard to self reflect and this helped

Best episode so far. He took topics that aren't commonly discussed it was so interesting then made me laugh throughout the video. David choe is now much more interesting to me. Crazy how intelligent he is
  • @ToneLoco210
I love how Choe pours his heart out on the mic. Every time I watch one of his WHOLE interviews I can see how cerebral this dude is and how simple but complex his state of mind is. This I can relate too and I applaud steve-o for bringing him on the show 👏👏👏
  • @Thaitrader88
Absolutely brilliant. Was so happy when I saw this uploaded!! Choe grabs my attention and I honestly didn’t want this to end. Thanks Steve-o for getting Choe on
