Interesting fact: He's now 27, became a researcher at Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine in New York, and is studying stochastic genes. He is devoting his time to his research and is working on creating better medicine and treatments in order to treat cancer.

I loved how he said, "my parents facilitated my needs." I also loved how he said that he had been given a gift from God and wanted to use that gift to help mankind.

At ten years old I wasn't even very good at tying my shoes!! I hope this gift brings him nothing but happiness.

I like how his parents aren’t throwing away his childhood

"Every moment I spend in the pursuit of knowledge is time worth spent to help humanity " Wow... Just wow... Please save our planet little dude, you're our only hope

He clearly understood that people weren’t taking him seriously. I wish the audience wouldn’t have laughed when he spoke.

God bless this now grown man. There’s something so beautiful about this. maybe the fact that his parents weren’t forcing him into learning the things he has but ultimately being his choice to read the books and learn the things he has.
  • Wow! This is a rare prodigy. I hope his future would have unique contributions to benefit mankind & he'll have good health & long life.

"At 10 years old he was already attending college" Childhood has left the chat

Unlike some genius kids, this guy is actually very nice.

This video seems like one of the most inspiring of any Oprah show ever! Ten-year-old Greg Smith is amazing, not just because he's a genius but also because he wants to use his genius to help all of mankind all over the world! Not to get religious, but he truly seems like a gift from God, in a spiritual sense.

Nice to have parents that fully appreciate and facilitate his abilities. My dad used to tell me that I was already reading novels by the time I was 4 but it would have been awesome if the school noticed because sometimes I'd get so bored in class they thought I had a learning problem because I'd sit and stare out the window because I was so bored and mind was always thinking about bigger things.

Imagine how stupid those other college students must've felt.

  • @gaulvhan2814
These parents need to write a book and teach others on how they accomplished this. This is incredible
  • A gifted child with knowledge, wisdom and understanding. He's an extra ordinary child with super intelligence
