It's been 13 years and this series still occupies space in my heart. I'll always love my original version, but I also wanted to release a softer, sadder version as at the end of the day, the song was meant to capture the tone of utter defeat and melancholy of the series. I hope you will enjoy this version alongside the original! Shoutout to the wonderful crew behind the original series. All these years later we still love you and your work! ❤

THE MACABRE❤ by MadameMacabre
This channel dives into a great variety of topics that all fall under the Macabre. The Macabre is something that is disturbing or frightening because of its association with the grim and ghastly. This can include Creepypasta narrations- internet campfire scary stories, personal eerie encounters, original morbid melodies, and even an educational glance at the occult for the fascinated mind! If you're a fan of things that go bump in the night, this channel is for you!

Not me on my way to binge watch the series again from the start 😭
  • @KieranGecko
This series is what made Slender Man into who he is today. It came up with the pages, the distortion, the Sickness, the coughing fits, the teleportation, Masky and Hoody and the Operator Symbol. It's the OG and any horror fan who hasn't seen it needs to fix that. This series inspired me to make one of my own and while mine looks like shit by comparison, I still have a lot of fun with it.

I’m sobbing the nostalgia of the original song is something I return to often and now we have this and I’m just AAAAAAAAAA
  • Gonna fall right back into my creepypasta phase thanks to this

seeing as marble hornets is around 13/12 years old, seeing an acoustic version of this is bittersweet. i see this song as everyone's perspective, they're all being lead into the ark as the operator infests their minds. this is very beautiful, thank you madame, for shaping what made my childhood great with creepypasta and the slenderverse.

Man nostalgia is hitting me so hard. Miss Marble Hornets.
  • I love the more "tragic folk song" vibes of this version, while the original sounded more modern and technological (which I also love)- the vibrato, and going low on the chorus instead of high like in the original version, makes it sound like something you'd hear on a rainy street corner or sitting around an elder as they tell a tale of ages past 💛
  • Ah fuck, it's midnight and I'm laying here, crying over a series I never watched. This song makes me feel sad but also guilty over the fact I hadn't watched Marble Hornets when I first found out about it around 2013/2014. I'm so disappointed in myself for forgetting about it until this month. At least it shows how powerful this song is when it makes me feel so much for something I never experienced; mainly a cocktail of regret, bittersweet nostalgia and wistfulness about the past and for the future, with a sprinkle of loss and hollow loneliness.
  • This is so beautiful! Your redone versions are bringing back the nostalgia perfectly! You should redo Toby's song the way you did with Jeff's, that would be so cool!
  • @kira101
Why do I feel like this version would be perfect, for a mystery novel/series or movie It just has this feeling....

Эта песня для меня очень дорога, она помогает мне опуститься в ту беззаботную яму с приятными воспоминаниями детства. Мне очень приятно, что вы о ней не забываете. У меня пролилась настольгическая слеза, спасибо вам)

Beautiful ! The original was one I'd always visualise playing while driving on a road surrounded by the forests of Oregon, but this version I could really see playing on Sidorovitch's radio, for those who see what I'm talking about
  • This song has been stuck in my head since I watched a retrospective video on Marble Hornets and came back to this song. It’s nice to see that you decided to revisit it as well bc I think it’s such an underrated series and it deserves to be revived. This version and the original will be on repeat for a while for sure!

I don't have words to say Is so beautiful, sad, and nostalgic. The original is my favorite from you and I can't say how happy I am to have a new version to listen now x3 (Sorry if I worded this wrong, English is not my native language óuò) Take care, thanks ✨💜✨
  • @Darklyishere
Hearing this while reading the ToTheArk comic is unique
  • Dude, this is such a nostalgia trip for me! Marble Hornets was one of the first ARGs I fell in love with, plus a really good creepypasta. Gods, it's been years and it's been a wild ride since then.
  • @kittyhitty
The moment the vocals hit my heart felt punched this is so beautiful
  • @misa-zk8km
i remember when i first heard this song. i didn’t know what it was meaning. but after i watched marble hornets i understand this now and honestly it’s so heartbreaking 😩 and you sound so beautiful!! absolutely love your music! thanks to you i got into creepypasta when i was 14 because of your painted smile. :))
  • This adds a whole new wave of sadness to the Marble Hornets vibes. I loved this series despite only watching it about 2 years ago. Thank you for making this song.
