The only real problem of the movie was the lack of a strong Luigi B plot (originally a jailbreak plot, but was scrapped to keep the movie shorter). Hence it felt so blisteringly fast. Edit: After watching Charriii5's re-write, I think that the movie would be near-perfect with his changes.

Even without the deleted scenes in the movie,it’s still a Nintendo masterpiece.I love it a lot!

I can see how the first two presented here weren't necessary and why they were cut out. The superstar scene in the movie is perfect the way it is and already showcased Mario & Luigi independently before ramming through Bowser's army together. The second scene in the fire flower fields, while it would have added an additional seconds of runtime, it's very much delivering the same information we'd get later in the rainbow road scenes: Mario trying to invite Peach back to Brooklyn, Peach expresses interest in that invitation. It works better later since Mario will have spent more time with her by then, and his offer comes scenes after his fight with DK when Peach complement Mario's 'never give up' attitude. The third alternate scene, however, I think it would've worked better in the movie aside from extending the runtime.

I guess I can see why the first and third scenes were cut, but they seriously should have kept the second scene

Wow these deleted scenes were so amazing that they should of been in the The Super Mario Bros. Movie!
  • @KookieStar
WHY THEY WERE DELETED!? They're so good! 😭😭😭 0:05 Especially the one with Mario asking Peach out on a date 🥺
  • I think the second one was deleted since Mario later suggests Peach to come to Brooklyn and he would buy her a turtle.

I do love how you can actually hear the Brooklyn accent from mario

The first scene is SO COOL!! Why must they delete such a scene?
  • I cant believe they scrapped a scene referencing Mario's iconic Forward Air 😔
  • @ssctiyo4735
The start clip: Dash attack > Up Tilt/Up B > FAir
  • I like the second deleted scene when Mario said you can come visit Brooklyn and I can show you around and Mario and Peach smile at each other it’s romantic
  • @designerxgamer
there’s also Peach having to remove the kissing fish from Mario
  • @echothetaco
I could understand why the third scene was taken out because it kinda looks like mario has given up in this scene and it really buds in with what peach said about mario having a “not giving up” attitude
  • @bortb
Animators: spend weeks animating one scene // Illumination/Nintendo: yeah not going to the movie
  • @maxkull2899
I'd keep the second one in. Kind of a cute moment showing why Peach and Mario are a good fit for eachother.
