Desert Motorcycle trip first person view

Published 2023-11-03
Riding in Mojave National Preserve, Death Valley, and other parts of California. I highly recommend both the Furnace Creek and Stovepipe Wells resorts for their meals and swimming pools, a lifesaver in summer.
Furnace Creek is larger and also has a buffet. Both sell pool passes for a reasonable price so you can swim even if you don't stay there.
Panamint Springs not seen here is also great for food but they do not have a pool.
daytime highs outside of Death Valley were around 110F, 117F in Death Valley. Overnight lows were mid 70s.
trip was 1400 miles total.
bike is a 2001 honda shadow 600.

Right on Thorn!! It's good to see you out cruising the highways. Yeah 117 degrees, just a tad warm down there :). I'm sure the swim in the pool was fantastic!! Thanks, take care.
  • Looks like a super fun ride! It's so cool to hear about the underground rivers coming up closer to the surface making it more green! Thanks for taking us along the journey!

  • Thorn I had a question I was going to Las Vegas in about 5 days and I was wondering if there's any cool ghost towns or any cool sand dunes to check out on the way thank you-merlyn
