Almost no other character throughout the entire franchise loves dueling as much as Jaden Yuki - The headstrong, but free-spirited prodigy of Duel Academy who constantly sought out powerful opponents just so he could face-off against them in fun and interesting duels.

But as the series progressed, he began to understand the responsibilities that came with growing up; And put so much weight on his shoulders that he almost lost his love of the game…

At least until he fought against a certain duelist.

So today we’re going to look at Jaden Yuki’s ten most important cards, how they helped him grow up, and whether or not they’d make him a HERO in the TCG.

Fun fact: Jaden also designed Dandylion, and I don’t know why he didn’t make it a Neo-Spacian like the rest
  • @IC-23
I can't wait for you to have to explain with a straight face how Ojamas were important to Chazz' character and how they kept their spirit of having wacky cards that tie Armed Dragon, Light Machine Fusion Monsters with only Specifically named material with them When he eventually gets to him in this series(?)
  • @cis22
I really like how Neos Wiseman is a combination of almost all of Jaden's most meaningful cards. Its fusion materials are Neos and Yubel, it was summoned using Super Poly, the cost discarded to activate Super Poly is Winged Kuriboh, and its effect is similar to Flame Wingman.
  • Only Seto Kaiba could take the idea of shooting trading cards into space and make it awesome.

17:42 > I use Superpoly anime effect and target my oponent - opponent activates Mystical Refpanel > I fuse with myself
  • @Netherwolf6100
Still my favorite Yu-gi-oh protagonist. His development and geninue maturity is something that isn't felt from too many of the other main protagonists of the series. I do wish Konami would make Neos+Yubel support so they can function together in the same deck more fluidly.
  • @POKENAR
Rainbow Neos is like Shooting Quasar Dragon, a card with an absolutely insane effect for its time period, only kept in check by an equally insane for its time period summoning requirement.

I love Jaden’s deck since it’s so much fun to play in Master Duel and Duel Links. He’s my favourite character in Yugioh

Honestly, the Duellogs would probably be surprised by the way the Masked Hero archetype was in the Manga by the time he will cover Manga Jaden

Definitely ought to do Zane Truesdale, since he has had a very strong role throughout the series as a strong duelist and mentor.

Jaden really had such a screwed-up life despite being the protagonist most people associate with being annoyingly optimistic. Like, Yubel literally made his friends go comatose when he was a kid and then proceeded to have nightmares of Yubel screaming in agony and begging him to help because he sent Yubel into space, forcing his parents to get a medical procedure done to suppress his memories.
  • @jadewest8904
Yubel = GX's Atem/Astral equivalent Super Polymerization = GX's Seal of Orichalcos equivalent Flame Wingman = Jaden's Gaia the Fierce Knight/Junk Warrior equivalent Winged Kuriboh = Jaden's Kuriboh equivalent Neos = Jaden's Dark Magician/Stardust Dragon equivalent
  • @YataLock98
0:31 electrum wasn't only used in the 1st arc , he used it again against a deck destruction opponent, to get the materials back than de fuse him to 4 monsters for the win
  • @exiaedges
Favorite card in the list is Super Polymerization. The beautiful thing about the card is that it aged like wine with it being underwhelming and somewhat laughable in the beginning when it first came in TCG and made people doubt it would be as strong as the anime. As the game change and more people special summoned difficult boss monster, Super Polymerization became pretty useful in countering them and became the definition of game changing with your opponent unable to counter it. A card that was once mocked, but it become better overtime and actually live up to the anime which is a combination that feels extremely rare considering most case cards like the Egyptian Gods even with supports get power creep over time.
  • @david000rafael
Flame Wingman standing on top the Skyscraper is really cool
  • judai/jaden is the chad, the only protagonist that doesn't have dragon type in his deck, the dude eats simple yet still happy about it, his supreme king armor is so edgy that he turns into emo judai/jaden, he got fusion to be interesting, he's got the positivity of a duelist should when lost, he duel yugi without uria a.k.a slifer counterpart and though the duel is inconclusive it's still the best still image of neos charging slifer the executive producer, last but it's the best reason is that he got a yandere named yubel that's faithful to him even from his previous life as supreme king
  • 25:57 Idea for a series of retrains regarding Neo’s Neospacian contact fusion monsters: ⚪️Make sure they all have the HERO keyword for extra support ⚪️Make them usable with both normal AMD contact fusion methods ⚪️And retool their effect to return to the extra deck as a benefit instead of a detriment ⚪️And also, retool their classical effects to be better, perhaps incorporate characteristics of their fusion materials effects As an example: Elemental HERO Umbra Neos (DARK) Level 7 Warrior/Fusion/Effect "Elemental HERO Neos" + "Neo-Spacian Dark Panther" (Quick Effect) Can also be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above monsters you control to the GY. Once per turn (Quick Effect) You can target 1 face-up monster on the field: Apply 1 of the following effects until the end phase: ⚪️That target's effects on the field are negated, and also, this card is unaffected by the effects of cards with the same original name as the target’s. ⚪️This card’s name becomes the targets original name, also replace this effect with that Target’s original effects (if any). If this card you control would be destroyed or banished: Shuffle it into the Extra Deck instead, then special summon 1 of it’s listed fusion materials from your hand, deck or GY. ATK/2500 DEF/2000 Elemental HERO Gale Neos (WIND) Level 7 Warrior/Fusion/Effect "Elemental HERO Neos" + "Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird" (Quick Effect) Can also be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above monsters you control to the GY. Gains ATK/DEF equal to the difference in all players LP. Once per turn (Quick Effect), you can gain 500 LP for every card in all players hands. If this card you control would be destroyed or banished: Shuffle it into the Extra Deck instead, then special summon 1 of it’s listed fusion materials from your hand, deck or GY. ATK/2500 DEF/2000 Elemental HERO Twinkle Neos (LIGHT) Level 7 Warrior/Fusion/Effect "Elemental HERO Neos" + "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" (Quick Effect) can also be Special Summoned (from the Extra Deck) by shuffling the above cards you control into the Deck. If this card you control would be destroyed or banished: Shuffle it into the Extra Deck instead, then special summon 1 of it’s listed fusion materials from your hand, deck or GY. Once per turn (Quick Effect): If your opponent activates a card; you can negate and/or destroy that activated card, then apply 1 of the following effects based on its type. ● Monster: During the next battle phase, you can discard 1 card: End the battle phase. ● Spell: This card can attack your opponent directly this turn. ● Trap: Change this card to Defense Position. ATK/2500 DEF/2000 Elemental HERO Khepri Neos (FIRE) Level 7 Warrior/Fusion/Effect "Elemental HERO Neos" + "Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab" (Quick Effect) Can also be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above monsters you control to the GY. Monsters you control gain 400 ATK/DEF for Spell/Trap on the field. If your opponent activates a Spell/Trap card: You can declare the name of 1 monster on the field; Add to your hand or set (From your deck or GY) 1 Spell/Trap that mentions the name of that declared monster in it’s effects. If this card you control would be destroyed or banished: Shuffle it into the Extra Deck instead, then special summon 1 of it’s listed fusion materials from your hand, deck or GY. ATK/2500 DEF/2000 Elemental HERO Umi Neos (WATER) Level 7 Warrior/Fusion/Effect "Elemental HERO Neos" + "Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin" (Quick Effect) Can also be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above monsters you control to the GY. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can discard a card; For the rest of the turn, this card is unaffected by card effects of that discarded card’s type (Monster/Spell/Trap), and also, apply 1o the following effects: ⚪️Destroy 1 random card from your opponents hand. ⚪️Activate 1 field spell (From your hand, deck or GY) that mentions “Umi”, “HERO” or “Neo” in it’s name or effects. ⚪️Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower “Chrysalis”, “Neo-Spacian” or “HERO” monster from your hand or GY. If this card you control would be destroyed or banished: Shuffle it into the Extra Deck instead, then special summon 1 of it’s listed fusion materials from your hand, deck or GY. ATK/2500 DEF/2000 Elemental HERO Geo Neos (EARTH) Level 7 Warrior/Fusion/Effect "Elemental HERO Neos" + "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole" (Quick Effect) Can also be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above monsters you control to the GY. At the start of the Damage Step, if a monster you control battles an opponent's monster: You can return your opponents battling monster to their hand. Once per turn (Quick Effect) You can target 1 card from your opponents field or GY: return that target to their hand. If this card you control would be destroyed or banished: Shuffle it into the Extra Deck instead, then special summon 1 of it’s listed fusion materials from your hand, deck or GY. ATK/2500 DEF/2000 And a support card for all these fusions: Emergency De-fusion Quick-play spell (This card is always treated as a “HERO” and “Neo-Spacian” card.) Shuffle 2 “HERO”, “Neo”, “Chrysalis” or “Yubel” cards from your hand, field or GY into your deck, then target 1 Fusion monster on the field: Return that target to the Extra Deck, then, if any materials that were used for its Fusion Summon are banished or in the GY, you can Special Summon any of them, and if you do, apply 1 of the following effects: ⚪️Your opponent cannot negate or respond to your next Fusion summon of a monster with Card effects. ⚪️For every card summoned by this card’s effects, you can add to your hand 1 card (from your field, deck or GY) that mentions that card’s name in it’s name or effects. Edit: Would it be better gameplay-wise if I made the contact summon condition send the Fusion materials you control to the GY, or shuffle them back into the deck like the OG’s? Or a choice between both? I forgot the OG condition a smidge as I was making these.

If only the Manga Heroes were included too. Masked Heroes were awesome in concept of Transformation Summon.
